I highly recommend Jean Williams Mercurio and the Alber Firm PC. They provide responsible and honest representation at one of the most difficult times of my life.

The level of respect and professionalism is overwhelming not only you are treated has a human but also are given the tools and confidence to know what’s your next .

This firm does not care about wins and losses they only care about their payment and move onto the next case, you will end up being a courtroom representing yourself with 1 of their attorneys standing next to you keeping quiet, I spent over $7k with them, the 1 time I requested for a refund is the most calls I received by Michael, he doesn't answer texts or calls once he's paid, he sends out a different attorney for each court appearance so basically you have to bring them up to date about your case each time because they know nothing! Everytime I stepped into the courtroom with any of them my child support payments were raised, it felt like I was dealing with amateurs or attorneys that know nothing about child support! My son's mother has a free attorney from her job who out spoke them and made me wish I hired them instead, the Magistrate threatened to hit them with sanctions due to their tardiness or not even showing up, which made me look bad and ended up taking it out on me and raising my child support payments, DO NOT HIRE ANYONE AT ALBER LAW!!!!!

Disabled young adult with Autism. Child Support case. My son is 20 years old with autism and a profound language disorder. Most people don’t know that, 80% of couples that have child with autism are divorced. Or that Mom’s stress level is that of a combat soldier in the field. Which as a disabled female Gulf War veteran with boots in the ground, I have experience, that stress real time. Over the years, I seen how the child support and custody fights, destroyed children, and change who that child should have become. I would not allow that to happen. I agreed more than I should, for the sake of my child since 2011, last time we were in court. That was until 2023 with the soaring economy. I still take care of my 20 year old son, because his level of maturity like a young boy in middle school. He can’t work or drive. Afraid of opening the front door let alone cooking. With much anxiety, knowing what my ex-husband‘s behavior was going to be like, I retain Jean to represent me, but really my son. During this case, I had wanted to give into his Dad, giving up half of child support $$. Whatever Dad wanted to stop the abuse. Ever since my son turned 18 his Dad along with Dad family and friend, have been grooming him to move in with him. Telling my disabled child he’ll fix him, or he’ll hire somebody they could do it better than mom, and dad won’t be stressed, because he will use your child support money correctly. Jean would not allow me to give into him. Jean said to me, this is for Chaz, I can’t let you give that away. I could just say all the normal, she is, hard working, talented, always presented herself, with dignity and professionalism. Anyone who works with Jean already knows this already. There is more to learn about Jean. It was during my case I saw, she was not just my lawyer, she was also an advocate for my son. Jean took the time, to let me walk through how child support has complicated my son’s eligibility for Medicaid and home community base waiver services. Quoting Einstein: “The measure of intelligence is the ability to change.” What more do I really have to say?

I do not recommend this law firm for family law matters. Our experience has been frustrating and disappointing. They seem more focused on billing than on genuinely helping clients. They charge a substantial administrative fee just to terminate the relationship, which is excessive and unnecessary. Throughout the case, we worked with multiple attorneys—Christina, Jean, Spinner, Alexi and we spoke to Michael himself MULTIPLE times.Each time, instead of effective representation, we faced multiple setbacks in court because of their lack of preparation and communication. There was no communication before or after hearings, you can clearly tell this case was “unimportant” to them. They go off of their “name” to try to win cases. We were also billed multiple times for "trial/case prep," but it did not translate into support or strategy. I must say the support team Irma and Carla are amazing. It’s the attorneys that need structure and accountability. I urge anyone considering this firm to look elsewhere. There are far better options for family law representation that prioritize client care and effective advocacy. As an UPDATE to the response below - In my opinion saying a client “matters” should be followed up by actions. We have worked with this firm for almost a year. There has been no real support. We actually had to “break down” numbers and send the attorney who got it WRONG in court and send it back to the firm to submit to the court. Do we get to bill the firm for the time spent doing the work that was paid for? No. There’s nothing to rectify or misunderstanding. We communicated with effectively and you did not.

Just wanted to thank the Albert Sklavos law firm for all of their help with my custody case. My ex girlfriend made things extremely difficult for my son and I. This law firm was very knowledgeable, empathetic and helped me achieve the best possible outcome. Steve Zalewski was my attorney and he was always available, answered any questions I had and genuinely cared about my situation. I reached out to this law firm a couple months after the case began and I went from supervised visits to almost 50/50 visitation in just a couple months.
