I recently met Dan, and I will say that for an attorney, Dan is patient and understanding, which is why I chose him this week over the other lawyer I was initially going to see. I will give you all an update on my entire experience once this case concludes.

Daniel was very accommodating in helping me get IEP required help at school for our son.

We found him to be exceedingly arrogant after we paid him. He promised that he'd get right back to me, twice, on a given day, but did not return any of the calls that were made. I expected a return call, not immediately, but at least the following day. (Attorneys I worked for were always polite to their clients and did the right thing.) He was very attentive before the retainer payment was sent. Belano had us pay him for 2 hours of work when, in reality, it was no more than 30 minutes of his time. He recommended someone who he claimed he worked with in the past (and could help us), but that person did not know him nor could she provide the services he said she would. Found someone else, and it worked out well for us.

If you are reading this you most likely need help. You found the help you need. Dan Belano is a rare find, the consummate professional who cares. He cares about you and he cares about your child. We were in trouble and needed help. We did not think we had any chance of a favorable resolution and it was a horribly stressful time. We called Dan and he did exactly what he said he was going to do. He saved our child from an atrocity. I can not recommend Dan Belano enough and can speak from experience he is the attorney you need. He will be our attorney forever and were glad his number is stored in our phone.

Dan Belano is an outstanding attorney, when the Locust Valley school district was giving my family a very hard time to get my son the right support to succeed in school, Dan was our guide and support to make things happen with confidence and professionalism. Dan was able to have the school withdraw an improperly conducted hearing and cancel the subsequent inappropriate penalty. Dan even attended CSE meeting to ensure we get my son the appropriate services.
