I consulted with attorney Edward Kopko on an unusal,complicated,and frightening situation which warranted immediate action. I am extremely happy and thankful I did! Mr Kopko and his 2 law clerks,Jason Violette and Trystan Ahart, took the time to understand my complicated predicament. I felt understood. I became encouraged by Mr Kopko’s and his staff’s empathy and support initially and throughout the 4 1/2 years as their client. In addition, their humor at appropriate times, helped lighten the load my situation caused me. They worked on my behalf for a long time until I was able to pay. Mr. Kopko has a highly comptent staff and pays close attention to detail. This lawyer must be the reason that lawyers get a bad name. As he took my retainer, he assured me he was going to remedy my legal situation. I now equate this to "stealing" my retainer because he had ME do critical legwork for the case, missed deadlines, did not keep numerous appointments ( I drove over an hour to get to his office) avoided my phone calls, then after several months he sent a bill and said let's call it even and go our separate ways. He did no work after he took my retainer. Meanwhile, he missed the deadline for me to file. Stay away from this one, unless you want to get screwed.

Mr. Kopko is an exceptional attorney! He more than exceeded my expectations. We were kept informed as anything new transpired. He's very professional in all aspects and so is his staff. His knowledge and expertise was amazing. Without him I don't know where we would be today. He was so personable and heartwarming through our whole experience. I used Ed last year, he took my retainer and never followed thru with anything. He was absolutely disrespectful! Ask him about his personal life before you let him try to help yours!

This lawyer makes a great show of claiming to be reviled by other attorneys. This is due to his supposed record of winning malpractice cases against his peers, M.D.s, etc. My wife, who is disabled, engaged Kopko for a possible suit against the corporation which had employed and partially denied her benefits. He took her money, and then instructed her to do HIS legal research into similar cases, ostensibly to save her additional legal fees. Of course, she could not do perform this task, as she was not trained in law. Kopko kept the money, never checked in with us, and the filing deadline for the complaint came and went.

Mr. Kopko is a brilliant lawyer. His many years of experience and impeccable success rate is just one reason to hire him for your legal concerns . He puts his heart into your case and works hard to win. His skills speaking in front of a judge and jury far exceed the skills of a regular lawyer. He blew me away. Worth every dime. If you're looking for the best possible lawyer in Ithaca to defend your case look no further. You will not regret your choice. I've worked with many lawyers and Mr. Kopko outshines each and every one.

Unresponsive, neglected critical deadlines, failed to provide documentation of fees charged against retainer. I recieved no information or advice related to my complaint for my $3000 retainer. This lawyer would not return phone calls or respond to written requests for updates on the status of his review of my complaint, or for requests for billing information. He took a $3000 retainer, and I NEVER RECEIVED ANY INFORMATION AT ALL!
