Great place

I am a long time employee of a local University in the Area. 10 months ago I was accused of a crime I didn't commit. I contacted Luke Fenchel after reading several reviews online praising his firms success in dealing with cases of this nature. It's been a long and extremely thorough investigation. Especially with the unprecedented complexities brought on by the Covid-19 Virus and the introduction of online correspondence to exclusively deal with these multitudinous complexities. Luke was there for me the entire time. Even during some unexpected personal family crisis of his own he made the time to oversee my case. He treated me like a friend rather than just a client. And in a unanamous decision by a panel of experts I was found innocent of the accusations against me and the case was dismissed. Luke is extremely knowledgeable, dependable and quite frankly relentless. I am thankful beyond words for his guidance and support throughout what proved to be the greatest nightmare of my adult life. I can not recommend him and his firm enough.

I have worked with Virginia Tesi of Marcus Orkin Tesi, LLP for over a year and a half now on three real estate transactions and I was extremely disappointed overall. Virginia Tesi was recommended to me by my real estate agent when I was purchasing my current house. My experience with her this first time around was fine, in that we didn't need to have much interaction. In the communications I had with her she was a bit short and seemed annoyed with my questions (over email). My next interaction with her, while I was selling the house I still owned at the time, was by far the worst. The sale faced many issues and she was not responsible for most of those BUT she failed in her role as my lawyer! She rarely communicated with me, leaving me in the dark many times and forcing me to try to "track her down" to get questions answered. When she did communicate, she was short, dismissive, made me feel stupid, and rarely fully answered my questions. She made almost no effort to make sure I understand the process and because of her, there were unnecessary delays and nearly the loss of significant revenue. My last interaction with her was when I refinanced the mortgage on my current home (I wouldn't have chosen to work with her in this matter, if I had a choice) and again, she made things more difficult by not clearly communicating, except in one occasion in which we were face to face (on zoom). After the mortgage had closed, I got an email from her office stating I still owed taxes from closing, which she never told me about prior to closing. I think that Ms. Tesi could be a good lawyer and perhaps is a good lawyer for those who are willing to push back on her and remind her of her duties and ask a lot of questions and demand answers! All told, I paid Ms. Tesi quite a lot of money and it's not clear to me what work she actually did (almost all of the tasks that were done, were done by others in her office). It also seems that others in her office have followed her lead in that the other main person I worked with (her assistant I believe), was also dismissive and short with me and did not clearly communicate on multiple occasions.

2020 has been difficult for anyone. It is extremely terrible when you got traffic tickets with multiple misdemeanor charges. Due to my ignorance of American legal system, I felt paranoid and overwhelmed. Mr. Fenchel is very professional and always patient to answer my questions; even though he has lots of clients and he is busy. The result turned out satisfying, and he helped me have multiple misdemeanor charges drop to zero point tickets. He is student friendly, and I would definitely recommend him to my friends who might have similar issues in the future.

I was given Mr Fenchel for a public defender. I had always heard bad things about public defenders. Going into my court case i was nervous that i would get someone who was overworked ans underpaid being a public decender. I was proven wrong. Nr Fenchel was always ontime to tbe court appearances. He was amaays dressed very professional. He always kept me informed of the aspects of my case. He knows the law and did a great job bargaining with the District Attorney to get me the best possible outcome. I dont think i would have been given a better shot without him. I would reccomend Mr. Fenchel to anyone who needed a lawyer.

I hired Luke as an advisor in a complex University case that was biased against us from the beginning of the process. Luke, armed with his in-depth knowledge of code, helped navigate the complex process and eventually prevailed by getting us justice. The falsely alleged accusations warranted extreme disciplinary actions which was eventually reduced to a minimal sanctioning.
