Mr. LaSala did my closing on my mom’s house Communication with his office was excellent. They were able to straighten out an issue for me with no problem. Easy to deal with, extremely personable. I won’t hesitate to use his services again.

The man is either washed up or only cares about money ! He sucked . Do not hire him . He never returns calls , is rude , barely speaks in court , terrible person in general . Has no idea about family law .. such a waste of time and money .

Hired him to represent my brother and just flat out told us the time my brother could possibly face not even looking into other options for my brother like a treatment plan. He’s not professional AT ALL. My brother knows many people that Jake has represented in rikers and they all say they are trying to get their money back because he’s just horrible.

As our real estate attorney, Jake was very proactive in protecting our rights and in providing quick and reliable feedback and answers to questions, where there were many! Additionally Jake displayed excellent negotiation skills throughout our whole co-op buying process. One can get more than a lost through the endless stacks of papers, rules and regulations. He and his staff were quick to answer calls, voice mails, even text messages regardless of the time or day. Highly recommend him to others based on our experience as clients.

We hired him and thought we made a good decision but then shortly after realized that that was not the case. He was trying to make his job easier the whole time and trying to get info about the case was like pulling teeth. Calls were not answered, trying to get a hold of him was a nightmare and then when you finally did get him on the phone I felt rushed and I couldn’t even get out the questions I needed to ask, one time he even hung up on me when I tried to ask him one more thing. He really should not be a lawyer because he could care less about people and I don’t know how he’s still in business.

The Jake represented us in a purchase of a residential property. The negotiation and sale process had some unexpected complications, and he handled it professionally given lender-imposed time constraints. Jake and his paralegal Sara worked closely with the mortgage lender to ensure that all legal requirements were satisfied and the loan was cleared in time for closing. Jake conducted himself in an utmost professional manner and clearly explained the final steps in the process. We really enjoyed working with Jake ans Sara and highly recommend them. hired for a very straight forward case... essentially just filing paperwork. took multiple (read: dozens) of followup communication attempts to get anything done. I felt as if I didnt follow up every few weeks/months, nothing would have been resolved. And when he did respond, his messages never answered any questions. so frustrating. stay away!

Jake had helped me with my original case and actually did a good job. When I had violated my probation i went to him and told him the situation and he said he would talk with the judge and probation department and see what could be done. he told me this would cost $3500.00. I gave him a check the next day and it was cashed immediately. That is the last time I heard from Jake Lasala. He never returned my calls when i tried to see the status of what he was doing. A year and a half later now, I was recently arrested for a warrent on that violation of probation. I AGAIN contacted jake to see what was going on....my mother contacted him repeatedly when i was in jail......my parrtner called and texted....NO ONE RECEIVED A RESPONSE WHILE I SAT IN JAIL. They even said, "Look, please just tell us if you will or will not represent david, he is in jail and needs an attorney. We paid you to take care of this and you obviosly haven't done a thing." he wouldn't even say NO I CAN"T REPRESENT YOUR SON. We have made a complaint about him to he Nassau Bar Assoc. The Nassau District Attorney, and the NYS Lawyer's Fund for Clent Protection. DO NOT USE JAKE LASALA

Jake Lasala is a poor excuse of an attorney and should have his license revoked. I hired him to handle my custody and divorce case but he was grossly negligent. He never updated me on my case. I would have to call him several times (3+ times) to get a response, usually while he was out and rushed, with the call lasting no longer than 3 minutes and no firm details as to the direction of my case. He blatantly told me that my court case was postponed and in the process of being rescheduled when in fact we needed to appear in court. He also did not appear in court the second time the judge ordered us in. The judge made a strict judgement on my custody case and I'm still fighting to correct it. Find a better attorney that will work hard for you right off the bat.
