Five Stars Plus!!! The advise and help I got from Jeffrey Herbst is the best money I've spent, worth every penny! Court & litigation is hard, knowing you are in good hands makes it much easier!

Originally tried to do an uncontested divorce through this firm but as they predicted during the consultation, it did not stay that way. Had to switch to a contested divorce due to a greedy ex. In fact they also had to defend me in a different matter when my ex made false accusations of violence in order to try to manipulate the immigration system when her cheating led to the divorce. Fortunately, they were successful in both actions despite the courts basically assuming her accusations were true until they were proven utterly false. Naturally, there were no consequences for her lies but that isn't my lawyers fault. That's the way the system is rigged. Given all that, my lawyer was Alyssa with Doreen as a paralegal. Both seemed actually invested in my case and even angry at the treatment I received. It was an ugly few years but they were good partners in it. The only negative thing I could say is watch out for minimum billing increments. They can add up fast for even small communications. This isn't unique to this firm though.

Jeff Herbst handled my support proceedings in Riverhead family court. Jeff was attentive and straight forward from the very beginning. He is very knowledgeable about NY state child support laws and has a very good grasp of how a judge might look at a particular situation. This is the second matter this firm has handled for me in family court and if the need arises I will hire them again. Five stars.

Worst experience ever, I wish I could give less than one star. They changed my attorney three times while overcharging me for each one. My wife abandoned my son with autism which I have expressed multiple times to Mr. Widman but nothing has been done on his part. Instead of helping me, he took advantage of me because the office saw I am not fluent in english. He made me pay money to my wife before our divorce was settled. I had to express my story on my own in court. PLEASE do not ever come to this office. They will take advantage of you.

I wish I can give them a *no star rating* but when I started out I spoke to Brian Solomon and he promised me everything that I can get and it was all a lie. In his office as I signed his retainer I was pawned off to another lawyer that found my case entertaining because my ex was crazy.. She left the practice Right before my divorce was ending and I was pawned off to another lawyer that didn’t even know my case. Even though I was at the end of my divorce they did not care they put me with somebody just to get me through and it did not work well and I was not happy.. I was promised Brian Solomon as my lawyer through my entire divorce and that’s why I signed the retainer but that’s not the case he branched me off to anybody who would take my case. (His receptionist told me, when I complained* that he is the seller to get you into the office but he will never represent you) and they did nothing for me I could’ve done more on my own. Please do your research if you’re going through a divorce. Because you might as well go to family court and represent yourself and get more and Pay a lot less for what you can get. I paid over $40,000 for nothing. Please do your research before you reach out to them
