I’ve been a Genser Dubow client for over a year dealing with a myriad of issues regarding my elderly parents, one of whom unfortunately passed during this period. My primary contact at the firm is Partner Melissa Negrin-Wiener, who's consistently demonstrated outstanding technical expertise combined with excellent judgment and a caring and compassionate demeanor. In particular, we never felt pressured by the firm to finalize legal documents during an extended grieving period and Melissa has been extremely patient in answering all questions in order to ensure our comfort with both the process and ramifications of legal decisions. As such, I'd highly recommend Melissa and her colleagues at Genser Dubow to anyone seeking a caring, compassionate and expert group of Elder Care attorneys for their legal needs.

Got first appointment with Melissa Negrin-Wiener after a free seminar. Rushed first 40 minutes meeting (for $/h 11.25 I would have expected more) and then impossible to get in telephonic contact with her unless, of course, we would set up another $450 an hour consultation. After 8 days trying to contact her, she finally returned the call Friday at 4pm. Too little, too late. We found another Elderly Law attorney which has more time for his clients.

GDGC is a visionary firm and they are always on the lookout for ways to give back to their audience. Not your everyday firm for sure. Keep it up guys, Long Island thanks you.

As a former client, please take my advise. DO NOT USE Genser Dubow Genser & Cona LLC. They quoted a price of $2,500. Their final bill was $11,350. They had mistakes, took their time and kept billing by the hour until I filed a complaint with the Bar Association.
Do you really want that experience in a law firm?

I contacted the law firm of Genser & Dubow shortly after my son was in a horrible car accident that left him brain damaged in 2001. I confirmed with David Genser that the charges to open up a trust fund for my son's IRA money would be no more than $2,500. At the time of my son's accident, his IRA balance was over $140,000. The law firm had charged over 35,000 in legal fees. It seems that David Genser turned this responsibility over to his son , Jack Genser & his wife Jennifer Cona. In the beginning I was the trustee; and when I saw bills exceeding $7,000, I immediately fired Jennifer Cona and the law firm of Genser & Dubow. Somehow Jennifer Cona had my brain damaged son sign some papers that made Ms. Cona the trustee and the law firm continued to bill my son. In addition, Ms. Cona filed all the social services paperwork in the wrong state, which cost my son another $45,000 in medical charges that the state should have paid for. Also. The trust was changed from it’s original institution to UJF ( United Jewish Fund) an organization that Ms. Cona supports. UJF has sinced claimed that they charged my son for $50,000 dollars for cigarettes (and four dinners) that supposedly my son had smoked; eventhough he was only let out of the hospital 2 times a day to smoke. To date, my son has no money left of his original $140,000.
