Unfortunately I had to deal with this firm and I was berated and treated like absolute garbage by a person whom I was later told was Mr. Ettinger. We had a mutual customer I was trying to help and unfortunately he did everything but assist. After calling multiple times, trying to find help, I finally reached one attorney who was able to assist. It took less than 1 minute to realize that the law firm made a mistake and they were requesting the wrong thing. Had I done what was requested, our mutual client would have been negatively impacted in a major way. You would think there would be an apology but of course not. As businesses, we should treat people with respect and do our best to help our clients. I guess once they got their money, the client was no longer valuable to them, therefore they treat them and the people who work to help them like trash. What a shame.

Over 20 years ago I coordinated the estate planning for my parents (and myself), using different counsel (not Ettinger). We have since revisited and updated the plans a number of times... wills, trusts, health care proxy, living will, power of attorney, QPRT, LTC insurance, etc... Over the years, many other firms tried to 'win our business'... some I met with. In those cases, it generally became apparent that 'I am buttoned-up' - super smart - got it all covered. Really what that meant was that I was not 'low hanging fruit' to the attorney that was trying to pitch me. So they shook my hand, said good job, and we all moved on... then a few months ago my parents (now 75) met Michael Ettinger at a seminar and they liked him. The suggested I meet him. I thought, "Ok, here we go again..." So we walk in and sit down... and in minutes Michael is pointing out multiple valid points that others had not made and which I had not considered... I won't go into the specifics here, but I then went back and did some homework (because I didn't want to just assume what I was being told was accurate). Net Net is that Michael's points held up. I looked at some tax code, googled around a bit, spoke to my CPA... Michael's recommendations made sense... so not only did I redo my parents estate documents with Ettinger, I also redid my own... and I recommended them to others. It was also refreshing that they use a pretty clear rate card with fixed fees per document. The fees were fair and not having to be nickel and dimed for an extra phone call or to be billed back for photocopies or USPS mailing costs... priceless... This is the first online review I've written because I normally just don't have the time... so why did I write this one? Because Michael and team did a great job. Exceeded my expectations. Saved us a ton of $$ in the long run... so what are you waiting for? Give them a call!

Mr. Marnell represented our family in a complex divorce for my elderly father. He was professional, honest, communicative and highly effective throughout the entire process. He was a fierce advocate that had our best interests at heart from beginning to end. Highly recommend
