Absolutely terrible. Do not confuse him with his father. All he wants is your money then he does nothing. It's a shame how he's using his father's name and misleading people. Stay away

If you have hired this man to work your divorce case, RUN, do not walk to another attorney as fast as you can. I would also give zero stars if I could. He is all show and no go. Did absolutely nothing in 6 months. Communication with his staff is non existent. “Forgot” to file any paperwork for me and then when I finally had my first court date, he failed to show up. His office notified me 15 minutes prior to the hearing as he was ‘sick’ (Sick in the head!). Needless to say, I was embarrassed and this made me look awful in front of the court and my ex (I will now have to pay my ex’s attorney fees because of Greenwald!). Stay as far away as you can from Ben Greenwald!!!!!!!!

I would give no stars if I could. Mine was a divorce case, something Mr. Greenwald obviously does "on the side." I specifically hired him, and told him I wanted a male attorney. I was being divorced by my attorney husband and knew he would not take a female attorney secretary seriously. A few weeks into the case, Mr. Greenwald handed me over to a very old lady attorney, whom I NEVER got her direct phone number or any means of contacting her. Almost $70,000.00 paid to the Greenwald firm and Mr. Greenwald almost completely ignored me. Except for telling me "you look very pretty today, on more than one occasion." I had a police report of physical abuse my husband did to me. I talked to his paralegal at the time and she said Mr. Greenwald would get me an Order of Protection. I over-nighted the police report and called many times over the next two days to see when Mr. Greenwald was going to to something about the Restraining Order, as she promised he would. I had two days to get the Order. Mr. Greenwald NEVER responded to me. I lost the opportunity to get the Order. This was three years of Mr. Greenwald NEVER returning my calls. Many times, five days later, he'd call me back. I was a paralegal and know that attorneys who do criminal work take divorce work "on the side." His paralegal would talk to me and tell me something would get done the next day. I would call her to make sure it was being done. The paralegal had NO idea what I was talking about. One meeting, as I sat next to her, I asked her about the restraining order. She said "we never got the police report." I said I over-nighted it to her. She denied it, but her large file was sitting on the table and I saw a FedX envelope in the file. I asked her to pull it out. It was the opened police report about the abuse. I asked her why she filed it in my file and not have it taken care of. She had no answer. I asked her why Mr. Greenwald didn't answer my calls for five days at a time (his usual response time). The old lady attorney never returned my calls either. They NEVER went over how I wanted to divide household objects. I would up getting nothing, because my ex-husband refused to give me any since there was no court order on those items. I honestly was very upset and shocked I was getting divorced and allowed myself to be ignored. I did have a meeting on a Friday before the Monday Trial Date with the woman attorney. On Monday, I was informed the female attorney was no longer with the firm! Mr. Greenwald would not listen to me when I asked questions during the pre-trial consultations between the opposing lawyers. I needed more alimony, and Mr. Greenwald told me, actually told me, "to be quiet," even though we were not before the Judge. He knew NOTHING about my case. He told me he thought I was "unstable." I am not unstable, I was frustrated that Mr. Greenwald would never get back to me in a timely matter. If you want to use Greenwald's firm for a criminal action, I gather he is good. If you need a divorce lawyer, DO NOT use him. Christopher Cardinale, Esq. came to the firm late in my divorce process. I wish he had been there earlier. He ALWAYS returned my calls within a day and listened to me. My case would have turned out much better if he had been my attorney. Mr. Greenwald, if he reads this, will laugh and say he was right, I am unstable. NOT unstable, just very frustrated with his TOTAL lack of attention to my case. I was married to an attorney who became abusive to me and I hired an attorney who took a fortune of mine and did absolutely NOTHING to see that I got alimony that was in the manner of the lifestyle I was accostumed to. My ex-husband made a LOT of money in the years before the divorce. The year of the divorce, he "conveniently" made much less. I am very upset and angry that I allowed myself to be treated so badly by the attorney I hired. He goes through attorneys he hires very fast. I see all the good reviews, BUT I also see the reviews that tell you to "run" and not hire Benjamin Greenwald, Esq. For divorce cases, he will NOT help you.

Horrible! DO NOT USE THESE PPL!! They will take your money and do NOTHING. Reporting Greenwald to the bar association! Crook!!

Do not use this law office they are liars and take your money you are basically paying them to do nothing worst law office ever

Ben and his colleagues are the most unprofessional group of individuals I have encountered in my life. Their phone etiquette is terrible. They are either over extending themselves or just plain stupid as they miss-inform us on several occasions and really had no clue what was going on with our case. Ben missed court with no valid explanation. My son was in court facing the judge with no attorney by his side. He and his colleagues would claim to have submitted various request related to the case, but come to find out that if they did, it was way after when they stated things were being done. We were left in the dark during the whole time Ben represented my son with no communication or follow up on the case. If you’re looking for a fake lawyer with just the paper credential then this would be your guy

The worst lawyer period. We had a court appearance in rockland county and he never showed up. I called the office and they canceled the appearance without telling me, i looked like an idiot in the court room. they said a secretary was stealing money from the firm???The next court date another lawyer shows up that i never met, no legal advise just sat next to me while i said my case. A year later with all his delays i lost the case. Still have not met him in person. Do youself a favor find a different lawyer.

Ben is an amazing person at what he does he doesnt just become your lawyer he becomes a true friend and confidant . He is a master at his craft. You can trust this man full heartedly. if you think you can do something on your own to get something reduced you are very wrong. Here is a bit of history on my case I was pulled over for a license plate lamp being gone or non existing as the police put it.  To being pulled out of the car for a sobriety test the test was done on a steep hill and all wrong I had told them multiple times I am disabled and have weakness my legs long story short they said I failed all of the roadside ones they allowed me to call my parents to pickup my car. Tho they tried multiple times to get my fiancée who has no license to drive my car home while they take me to the station but I wouldn't allow them to trap her like that. The first court date Ben did something amazing and kept them taking my license on the spot like they are supposed to but they didn't have a certified copy of the breathalyzer so thankfully he got me to keep my driving privileges though the whole ordeal That is huge to be considered the only thing I can do normally is drive and short motorcycle rides to still feel like a normal person without my license it's like my back injury took the rest of the use of my legs Ben wanted a hearing right away but I was afraid and hoping me taking classes and groups and therapy for 6 months 2 times a week to hopefully help but going back and forth for a while they stood firm on there zero tolerance policy. (So as far as I'm concerned in that court there is no such thing as innocent until proven guilty) With me trying to fix things on my own wasted alot of time and added alot of stress on my self and that's when  I fully give in and trust Ben (like I should have) we did the hearing to see what evidence could be suppressed he questioned the officers who arrested me and at the end of it they showed no evidence of me failing my field sobriety test, on the way out the da pulls Ben aside and says how about a DWAI- alcohol. Ben asked me my feeling I told him I can't afford it the one year suspension of my license on top of dmv fees and different classes to get a conditional license. I told him there is no way I know I wasn't guilty and wrongly arrested I don't know how the BAC showed a .11 when I knew and had witness that seen I wasn't intoxicated or even buzzed.  Ben said not to worry and with the sincerity in his voice I heard I believe him December 22nd  2015  the last court date the DA was still Confused with what evidence they could use Ben pointed out since the roadside test was suppressed there was no reason for me to have been brought to the police station the breathalyzer became what he called "fruit of the poisoned tree the breathalyzer held no weight and had to be thrown out" The judged agreed fully so they couldn't use my BAC or anything said at the station But all in all after a long time of stressing mostly on my part dragging my feet trying to get it fixed on my own, which is like running into a brick wall over and over. To fully putting my trust in Ben like I should have I walked away with a license plate lamp ticket and ticket for not having my drivers license on me. I couldn't thank Ben enough once I stopped being stubborn and gave him full control he literally saved my life. I was facing up to a year in jail and thousands in tickets, dmv issues, classes, victim impact panels and other things. Ben is an amazing person and Lawyers and just trust in his judgment and be straight with him and he will not bs you or give false hope not every case is the same not all will have the same outcome as mine had but he will never bs you and is one straight shooter I can't thank him enough for the work he did for me when I finally allowed him to do his thing I consider him one of the most amazing lawyers I've ever seen and would recommend him to anyone who ever has legal troubles and would use his services again if i need from the bottom of my heart thank you Ben

I have used this office before on more than one occasion and everytime I have I could not have been happier with the outcome. I refuse to use any other law office for anything I may need a lawyer for. Best part about this office is that they have someone to help you in any kind of case you can get and they are always quick to help, more than willing to explain everything so I understand, and always give their best, not to mention they're not crazy expensive. I would say if you have any problem that you may need legal representation for, go to this office first.
