I highly recommend David L. Martin. He is extremely knowledgeable regarding divorce law. Mr. Martin is a true professional and makes his client his #1 priority. He guided me through the divorce process and always answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns. I was always kept informed of all issues as they would arise. My particular divorce was a nightmare, with a loud and combative ex. Mr. Martin worked under the craziest circumstances to get me what I needed in these divorce proceedings. He was always attentive to all the issues at hand and handled them seemlessly. His office staff are always friendly and courteous. Any message I left was always handled the same day. I will always be grateful to him for how he represented me. He has my respect and my loyalty; I would highly recommend him to anyone who has to go through a divorce.

I was to say the least, surprised about some legal papers I had received that were time sensitive. I had absolutely no idea where to even begin getting the matter resolved. A friend told me about Mr. Martin and I had an appointment with him the very next day. His staff is who I spoke with when I first called, she was extremely knowledgeable. I asked her a bunch of questions about the case and the process and she was able to answer all of my questions and concerns. When I got to Mr. Martins office he saw me right away. He was very professional, read over all my papers and talked me though the whole process that I would have to go though. Absolutely fantastic.

I was very unhappy with the attorney who was handling my divorce. He was ducking my calls and would leave me in the dark for weeks. I found Mr. Martin through avvo and after the free consultation I felt a bit more at ease about my case. Mr. Martin and his associate were attentive and very professional. As well David L Martin understands how hard certain times fall upon us . If he's was on a rating scale of 1 to 100 one being the worst 10 being awesome you might as will start at 100 . I can't say enough good things about Mr. Martin. He took over my divorce case from two (in my opinion) incompetent attorneys and was able to get it done even with a mostly unresponsive adversary. He said he would do his best and he delivered. My situation and that of my children is so much better thanks to his knowledge, his willingness to respond assertively to the other attorney, and his quick responses to my inquiries. Absolutely worth the price (I don't think it was a high price either.... hard to tell after the first two attorneys did nothing for a little less money.

I hired Mr. Martin to help me with my divorce last year. He gave me lots of helpful information during my consultation. I hired him because I knew he would be the "bulldog" I would need to deal with my now ex-husband. I have been able to keep my children in the home they have always known, we have a good custody agreement and I have been able to financially start my life over. I have referred two friends to David Martin. They both are pleased with the way their divorces were handled. In my opinion, David L. Martin is the best choice if you are looking for a divorce attorney in the New York City/Long Island area.
