Against All Odds I recently found myself in the position of having to stand trial and face serious criminal charges with no witnesses on my behalf and with several people alleging that I committed multiple counts of assault and other criminal behavior. Having lost my girlfriend to cancer – and having lost my job for taking time off to care for her – I was broke and living in debt while trying to rebuild my life. One night, while driving my cab, I was confronted by several persons who were intoxicated and looking for a fight.
