I consulted with Ms. Harwin last week and although she was on
her way to a meeting she took time to listen. She said her firm
had a policy of needing a formal intake done before accepting
a case. Today, Sonia from her firm called and did the intake.
Sonia took over an hour to listen to my story of a complex/
atypical civil rights/personal injury/ domestic violence situation.
Sonia was sensitive and respectful. She called me back a couple
hours later, to say their firm had declined to take my case- partly
because of their current caseload. I appreciated the serious
attention/consideration they gave to me- which is more than
most attorneys/firms have given me. I only gave 4 stars instead
of 5 because I felt it was partly due to a lack of open-mindedness,
and unwillingness to take a risk, in an area of the law, where my
case falls - that lacks legal precedent for issues involved which
caused the firm to refuse my case. I do not think it was
Alexandra's decision alone- perhaps if she had her own firm
she might have made the leap to try my case.

Ms Harwin handled my case last year in association with one of her senior partners. I found their representation to be exceptional. Ms Harwin did a fine job of moving the case forward. She was thorough - she reviewed all materials I submitted for discovery, and made sure we met deadlines. She was responsive - she responded to phone calls and e-mails on same business day, if not within an hour. She was professional - on time for appointments, and was patient in answering my questions. She provided sound, well researched advice. In short, a very competent attorney, whom I would strongly recommend.
