Cohen Forman Barone is a law firm that is responsive to the needs of their clients. They were helpful to me. There were multiple issues I had and they helped rectify the problems. Also there was an additional issue that was not in their field of expertise and they referred me to another firm that was also excellent. I trust them to handle my legal issues.

The Family Law services provided by Attorney Carla Barone are excellent. Attorney Barone is extremely dedicated, understanding, and experienced. She is very compassionate, and, if the situation calls for it, she can also be very tenacious on behalf of her client. I would highly recommend that one speak with her about a family law case.

David and his team were amazing through every step of the way. I really can't thank them enough. I had never been in trouble like this before and I was completely terrified. Luckily, I was referred to David through a friend of mine. David explained everything I needed to know in a way I could understand. He even got on multiple conference calls with my family and I to answer questions and talk about the path we were going to take. He went above and beyond, he treated me like an equal, and he actually cared about me and what was happening to me. He was not only concerned about my case but he was also concerned about my addiction problems in general. He helped me get the help I needed and I'm happy to say that its working! I have been drug free for 2 years now. I can honestly say that if it wasn't for David I would have had a much different outcome. David is very well connected and knew everyone in the courtroom. He seemed to have a good rapport with everyone he interacted with as well which only made things more comfortable for me. He is a great person and cares about his job. In the end, I did not have to go to jail. Instead, David got me into a rehab program and I will forever be grateful because now I have my life back. When we were looking for a lawyer we were under extreme stress because we wanted to hire the best one to represent our son so we searched google and really didn't know how to pick the right one out. Some charged less and others charged more but thankfully my retired psychologist friend had experience in hiring a lawyer and told us to interview them and to follow our intuition and our son's intuition. Based on a recommendation by someone my son knew from a spiritual/support group he belonged to, he interviewed David Cohen and there was an instant rapport. He was caring, understanding, patient, timely, efficient and communicated well. He has upwards of twenty five years experience defending clients so he was familiar with numerous federal prosecutors and judges. He taught law at a local Long Island community college which told us he believes in what he does. Based on all this we hired David and when our son was assigned a conservative judge we watched him take a personal interest in our son to get to know him (one of his greatest traits) and build a case that lead to an unprecedentedly low sentence, numerous years (~10 - 12) shorter than what other people in the past received with similar circumstances. We were extremely pleased with David's service and we highly recommend him to anyone needing a criminal lawyer.

David Cohen provided our family with amazing service at a time we were utterly distraught. He gave us excellent advice, good direction, a fair assessment of the situation. His work resulted in a very positive outcome. I admire his ability to work with all the folks involved in the legal process, including the “other side”. He remained calm, ethical, and yet, vigorous and persistent in his defense work. He went above and beyond for our family, offering kind and compassionate emotional support and made sure to be available when we had questions. If his time was unavailable due to other cases, he made sure to let us know and schedule when he became available again. We would use his services again without hesitation.

When I initially hired Carla Barone, it was as separate counsel for my divorce mediation.
