I would highly recommend Robert Gouldin. I needed a lawyer for a real estate transaction and wasn't living in the area where the transaction was taking place. Robert handled it with ease, explaining issues and keeping me informed along the way. We closed in the timeframe he anticipated -- he got the job done. My first offense in my life, 2 misdemeanors, led me to 45 days in jail. He then accused me of trying to break into his home, and warned me of his German Shepard? Every lawyer I repeat the case to laughs at this man. He ruined Oneonta for me, and should be ashamed. How did he pass the bar? If you want to stay out of otsego county jail, DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN.

We were anxious home buyers who were preapproved residing in a hotel while realators, loan agents, and financial organization worked towards a closing. Mr. Gouldin was honest with his projection of closing date which was spot on. Because of holidays during the closing process our date was changed from before Thanksgiving 2019 to January 2020. Mr. Gouldin went way beyond the normal client attorney relationship to assist us with locating a rental, kept us informed of progress, and followed through on finalizing our closing. Attorney Gouldin's knowledge of the law was clearly evident as he handled my divorce case as was more than willing to go to trial. His staff was always there when I needed them. More than willing to meet with me anytime at his office.

Mr. Gouldin was extremely helpful to me and to my family during a very difficult time in my life. Due to an inexcusable lapse in judgment and moral behavior for which I couldn't be more regretful and embarrassed, I made a terrible mistake that could have had a negative impact on my future employment opportunities. I was given a speeding ticket in NY. I have an overseas license so the process of NY State trying to put points on an overseas license would have likely stretched the system. I didn't want to have this become a drawn out affair while we sorted it out. Mr Gouldin sorted it out very quickly. I will pay a fine but have avoided the nightmare of trying to explain from 3,000 miles away that the points could not be added to my license.

The Gouldin law office did an amazing job representing me when I purchased my first house. Both Robert and the Legal Secretary, Marissa, treated me like I was their only client and explained everything that I didn't understand or had questions about. We had a big delay in the whole closing process due to the Seller but thankfully Gouldin Law Office was very consistent in getting things done and ended up doing more than they were supposed to, just to ensure that we closed on time.
