I worked with Marty through my divorce. He is extremely knowledgeable, moves quickly and lays out your options in simple terms. He helped me make hard decisions at a very difficult time. Having him on my side reduced the stress. I highly recommend him.

We hired Martin for a custody case. Ex wife was horrific she had custody for many yrs! Kids were removed from her custody within a few months of filing. Martin was professional, on time, took no crap from the other side. Best legal experience we have had.

For somebody who has never needed a lawyer before, unfortunately i got involved in a horrible custody battle that is still ongoing, I have been using Martin Johnson for almost 6 years now, with me having no knowledge of the rigors of court or what to expect in a messy battle, I couldn't imagine having anybody better than Martin Johnson, I am a man with disabilities and was nervous about being in a court room and what to do, Martin Johnson, couldn't have walked me through it better, couldn't have prepared me better, couldn't have represented me better, not only have we done well in court, the only concern i have going forward would be if I didn't have Martin Johnson and his staff in my corner, unfortunately i have had one or 2 other lawsuits in the past few years, not in family court, where i had to deal with other attorneys, there professionalism , accessibility, preparation, etc, was not as i expected because i was used to Martin Johnson who goes above and beyond in every way imaginable!! it might seem like im giving high praises ,that because I am, and they are well deserved, 6 years in and counting I couldn't recommend him any higher

Let me start by saying, If you do not appreciate Marty Johnson as an attorney or Like Marty Johnson as a person; there is something fundamentally wrong with you. MJ was highly recommended by an attorney friend of mine from Fairfield, CT. I made an appointment and became his client 60 minutes after. MJ is sharp as a razer. He is honest and cares about his clients. He will not allow your child to be affected by your divorce!! MJ will do what is needed and at the right time. MJ is respected and admired by everyone, from the moment you park your car in the garage, walk through security, in the elevators, in the hallways, and most important in the court room representing you before the Judge. MJ knows the law, which earned him another title by me; THE PROFESSOR. This is the best law firm and the best attorney you can possibly have in your corner. MJ is the Michael Jordan of matrimonial matters – Pun intended!

Mr. Johnson is a strong, no nonsense lawyer who gets things done. He is smart, experienced and relentless! He is well respected with peers and court system. I was a client of Martin Johnson @ Johnson and Cohen. I was just about to post a review when I read this recent review in front of mine. This is clearly some disgruntled, unhappy person or an adversary of Mr. Johnson. This is not who Marty Johnson is. The rest of the reviews on this site are an accurate picture of who Marty Johnson is. My experience with Marty and his firm was that he is very organized, aggressive (when needed), prepared and responsible. All of my issues were not only addressed but resolved. Divorcing is not a great experience, but having Marty and his firm at my back, I was relieved and confident. The Courts / Opposing Attorneys can hold up proceedings with adjournments, etc. but that is no reflection on my attorney. Shame on the person who misrepresented him in their review. If you need a top notch attorney, Martin Johnson is the attorney for you.

A good friend once told me “Who you surround yourself with, is a reflection of who you are”. Mr. Johnson sets a very high bar. It has been a pleasure and honor to have Mr. Johnson represent me over the years - my divorce and what has turned out to be 2 post matrimonial matters brought by my ex-wife and her family. I’ll get right to the point because that is how Marty rolls, you either have Mr. Johnson in your corner or you don’t. Mr. Johnson is not simply the best, he is hands down the Greatest Of All Time. Walk the halls of the courthouse and into the courtroom with Mr. Johnson and you will observe that he is universally respected by everyone, from the other attorneys, judges and even the security guards. This respect is well deserved and has been earned over many years of hard work and success realized on behalf of his clients. I am forever grateful for Marty and thank him for serving me and my family so well.

My wife hired Marty to finalize her divorce with her ex-husband and an extremely contentious custody battle ensued. Without getting into an insane amount of detail, I would say that the entire ordeal was a complete nightmare, lasting many years because my wife's ex-husband is a miserable person with plenty of money and a ton of time on his hands. Marty is an amazing attorney. When you are with him you feel confident that he will get you the best outcome possible and he certainly did. We literally never lost any of the many different cases we had over the years despite having an awful Attorney for the Child who clearly sided with her ex-husband, multiple judges, including a horrible judge who couldn't remember anything from one appearance to the next and certain situations that put us at a major disadvantage on paper. Marty is tough so if you want your hand held, he is not your guy, but if you want to win your case, he 1000% is your guy. He is simply the best - he has a courtroom presence like no one else and it's clear that the judges respect him. We are extremely thankful that he represented us and owe him a tremendous amount of gratitude for going the extra mile for us. Hiring him is an absolute no-brainer!
