I am a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA). I have worked on divorce mediation cases with Sheryl Sastow, Esq for over 10 years. She is very caring about her clients, thorough, professional, and patient. In my experience with the cases that I worked on with her, she does not pressure her clients to rush through the process. Sheryl helps them work through the process at a pace that is suitable for each specific client(s).

I so highly recommend Sheryl-Anne Sastow for her mediation skills. I cannot say more!! This was a very tricky situation. I was very skeptical because I didn't think anyone could find a solution to the issues without a lot of fighting and screaming, since that's what always seemed to happen when I tried on my own. But Sheryl-Anne was highly recommended to me by someone who had been going through a toxic divorce and ended up with an amicable agreement that he never thought was possible by working with his regular divorce lawyer. And it cost so much less than going to a regular litigator!! I went into the mediation without any real expectations (very little, I will admit), and the first thing I noticed was Sheryl-Anne'a calm and disarming demeanor that immediately diffused the bitterness and actually brought civility to the discussion. She asked very good questions in a non-threatening and neutral way that didn't devolve into yelling or a lot of crying (a miracle!). In fact, to my utter amazement, once she helped us get past the 800 lb elephant in the room, we could see what we were really dealing with and were able come to a logically-thought out agreement that I thought I’d never see. What I particularly appreciated is that Sheryl-Anne never tried to influence or make any decisions for us – even when I begged her to. She was totally neutral. Her job was to get us to somehow communicate with each other and ultimately resolving the situation without the bullying and cowering I had felt before. Now I really understand the power of mediation done well. I would recommend her unhesitatingly to anyone in what may seem like an impossible situation.
