Lisa charged $350 for an hour consultation. She got on a brief call with us just informing us that she didn’t have the expertise for our case. So why did she even take the case? She never returned the payment either.

Lisa and her team were incredibly helpful and understanding through one of the most difficult times of my life. From the very first phone call I knew I could count on her. Over a two year period Lisa worked to understand my situation and work toward resolution based on the best interest of parties involved. I could sense she genuinely cared about my case and helped me through every step until we finally finished.

When my wife and I needed a lawyer for our step-son’s custody, we wanted someone with an obvious love for children, as strong sense of community, and someone with a solid record of working within the system. I needed someone that would be able to empathize with our situation and advocate passionately for our son. Lisa’s bio and reviews on Avvo and in other places really drew me to her. Our first meeting really confirmed that we found the right advocate, especially when our son liked her. As parents of a special needs child, it was a relief to find someone who understands what our challenges are and could also interact with our son in a way he found respectful. Lisa was great to work with. As a Canadian I had some extra challenges with communication and payment and Lisa worked with us to accommodate those needs. She was always concerned about our son, she cheered us on, and I think she was as happy for our son as we were when we were granted custody.
