Horrific experience. Stuck in court for several years. Vanderbrook did not have her paperwork and information correct. The initial reason for retaining her was not resolved. She cost me my property, my time with children. Then charged over ten thousand dollars and couldn’t even file basic paperwork to the person appointed to my children.

We retained her in a family court matter. She had very poor communication. She would promise documents to us but did not deliver on her promises. She doesn't have an office phone- only a "office" cell phone that is never answered. She was very hard to get a hold of. She wasn't paying attention to our case, so much so that we had to fire her and switch counsel.

I called her office a couple times to get a consultation and nobody answered. Then I send her some emails and no response. It appears like she is not available to answer calls or reply to my emails.

As soon as my retainer was signed and paid Ms. Vanderbook continually failed to communicate and update me on my case. She was unreachable for days at a time and was never on time for court appearances and appointments. Ms. Vanderbook always seemed to have plenty of time to chat with the attorneys on her floor, go out to lunch, roll in to the office late, but never enough time to focus on my case.
