I’m a local Long Island family business owner who needed immediate help or I was going to lose my entire construction business that my dad started in the 80s. Sparing the details of the case, my business account had all of its funds seized after a judgement was awarded against me and my business without any good faith attempt to notify us of debt, and the interest that accrued was massive. Imagine signing into your online business banking account and seeing $0.00 next to balance with no explanation whatsoever, and 10 employees expecting to be paid the very next day…my head was spinning I had absolutely no idea what I was going to do or where to even begin. Horrible experience pretty much sums it up. Phone called started out all nice, thought I actually found someone willing to help and when I started explaining the details, everything changed. Reached out regarding assistance in a landlord/Tenant case and when she heard I was the tenant she immediately went into disrespectful/unprofessional mode. She said "sorry I can't help you" so I kindly said well you didn't even hear my situation yet so how could you make that decision already. All she kept saying was sorry we only help landlords. Makes zero sense. Does it really matter who calls?? If someone has a legitimate case and money to retain you I would think it's a no Brainer. Thanks to the lady for being very rude, I was able to find someone else that was willing to take on my case and actually couldn't believe what my family has been through. So far, case is going excellent! Just wanted to share my experience because people should be heard and treated fairly before assumptions are made. I'm sure they'll be a reply saying they've never spoken to me but I can back it up if need be. Thank you
