To call Mr Maffei a top notch lawyer would be selling him short. I found him to be incredibly knowledgeable and professional. He has an amazing courtroom presence and obviously has the respect and admiration of everyone he deals with in court. Extremely happy with the settlement he was able to get for me and my family. I would not recommend this law firm and in particular their staff attorney James J. Herz. In my opinion he is not a top tier lawyer and will cost you money if you use him. In my particular case, he was late for the judge, did not know how to use the speakerphone, was duplicitous, ignored the judge’s instructions and was just outclassed by the other attorney. Again, this is one persons personal view, so be guided accordingly.
