I have the pleasure of knowing Mr. DeStefano for many years, not only he is a great attorney that makes time for, takes care of you and your case but he is someone who became a close friend to me. The last 2 years have been the most difficult of my life. A severe car accident left me with several debilitating injuries and threw my life into such turmoil that I still wonder if I'll ever be even close to the same person that I was beforehand. A short time after the accident, based on a referral from a friend, I set an appointment to meet with Mr DeStefano and honestly didn't know what to expect. I guess I figured that he would ask me questions about the accident, recommend a lawsuit against the insurance company, and that if I were lucky I'd hear from him in a few years about the possibility of a settlement that would help me offset the income loss and medical expenses that I would be incurring. At the time that wasn't very comforting because I didn't really care about a lawsuit that may or may not be settled in the coming years, as my main concerns were more immediate: It was only a few days after the accident and I was already being bombarded with paperwork from the insurance company, and telephone calls from the insurance adjuster, so much so that by the time I entered Charlie's office, I was in physical and mental pain, confused, panicked, and despondent. I had no idea how I was going to get through this, especially considering I was unable to work. Well to my surprise, the majority of the meeting wasn't spent talking about lawsuits. The first question he asked me was how I was feeling, and he explained to me that my well being was what was most important to him. Anyone can say that but the actions of he and his staff over the next few years proved to me that he was a sincere, honest, and caring individual. He went on to help me figure out the best treatments for my injuries, and talked to me about how best to handle the long, difficult road ahead. He made it very clear that trying to recover was the main objective and that he was going to make sure the insurance company covered my medical bills. The lawsuit wasn't the main priority, getting better was. By the time I walked out of his office I had a sense of relief and knew I had made a good decision by choosing him. He fought for me every step of the way, and made me feel like his most important client. At the end of the day I can honestly say that a better job could not have been done. And yes, he kept his word, as not only were my medical expenses paid, but the lawsuit was settled in my favor. I owe a debt to Charlie and his staff because they treated me like a friend in need, and did everything in their power to provide me with positive results.

its starts with being a great person, with care and concern for others as if they were his own family. I know Charles for years and have seen him in many a social situation , the way he treats people etc and he is consistent and reliable. fortunately he was there and helped me in a minor legal matter and it was resolved. anyone needing an attorney regardless of background, religion, ethnicity would be very fortunate to have Charles for their legal representation.

Charlie is a compassionate man first and an excellent attorney second. He helped me through several years of litigation against an insurance company that was hell bent on limiting my severe injuries award from a car accident claiming it was prior conditions. I was on my way to work one day and a scumbag hit me and left the scene. Not only did Charlie take on the insurance company and win the case but he also gave me the help and assistance I needed to recover from my injuries.

2 years ago I had a car accident on the Verrazano with an SUV that hit me from behind near the Belt Parkway exit. The guy that hit me putshed my car about a half a block, then luckily my car stopped before hitting the center part. I hurt my shoulder and back and went right to the hospital, then I saw a nurologist and ortopedic doctor, saw a physical therapist and chirpractor all for about 9 months in total. My neighbor told me to call Mr Destefano. He always called me back when i had questions and told me exactly what his plan was to get me a settlement. I never sued before, but he spelled it all out for me and told me about how he was goimng to first try to settle, then try to get a retired judge to decide it, and finally if that did not work , he was going to take it to court. I was very happy with how he treated me and we finally got what we was looking for to settle the case against Geico. He had all my records, photos of the accident, police report, and sent it to Geico and kept trying to get them to pay me. At the end, he took it to a judge in long island, we sat in a office for 1 hour, and he won the case! He is a nice man and i really liked him the way the talks to you and the way he explains the case to you. He is sharp and knows how to talk to people. I decided to write this because he deserves it and i was happy over all with the way the did his job. He speaks perfect Spanish too (and my mother speaks only Spanish and he explaned the case to her all the way through the end.

I had another case in 2003 with another lawyer (on Court Street) , but Charles DeStefano would JUMP when I called ...and answered all my questions (even if it took a long time to explain on the phone)...and at the end of the case, he won it at an arbratration. He came to the arbratration with color blowup photos, big fancy diagrams, and all of my medical reports. and it was like TV to watch him put on the case! All i can say is that if you like to be treated like your case is important, then he is the one to go to.
