Joe immediately arranged a meeting and we discussed my case in depth. After the expected period of time, Joe obtained a fair offer, but understood I was looking for more. My associate was arrested for a DWI on Staten Island. Without reservation, Attorney Cammarata saved my associate from jail, or from the very least, wearing an ankle bracelet that would measure the content of alcohol in the blood. My associate would have to return weekly to the court, where the authorities would check the alcohol content registered on the bracelet. If, after a year, he remained alcohol-free, the court would remove the ankle bracelet. Even though he had a clean driving record, and it was his first DWI, there are stringent penalties for this irresponsible behavior. The case hearings were arduous and took a great deal of time. Attorney Cammarata continued to move forward with defensive and negotiating skills that ended with a win/win for both his client and justice. In lieu of jail time or an ankle bracelet, my associate paid a hefty fine and attended mandatory therapeutic classes for one year. His license was suspended, but he got a temporary limited license only to go to the doctor and church. Attorney Cammarata has an extensive network of professionals at the courts and in the community. It is apparent that they have a deep respect for him, while working collaboratively to facilitate viable and just solutions.
