Richard Sargent was my attorney from June 2007 - June 2009. He was picking up the case from a large firm that had compiled a lot of material. He clearly states in my retainer agreement that he would complete discovery, yet that never happened. I prepared my answers to my Bill of Particulars and he made a few minor changes; but I felt he was disinterested in following through with his professional obligations as my attorney. My Medical claim was dropped and he never answered why this occurred; I had gone to 4 different doctors over the course of 5 years. He said everything happened a long time ago and I should not pursue the claim; the runoff from a large parking lot flooded my land and caused mold to develop throughout the house. I was out of my home initially for 19 months. The final straw was an affidavit submitted with 8 lines missing due to a clerical error. Consequently, my case was dismissed however I pursued an Appeal and prevailed. I believe he had good intentions but became disinterested and for one stretch of time he would not answer my calls. There was disorganization in the office of personnel coming and going. However he did file a notice of an appeal as I requested.
