I was in the process of closing on a house and wanted a RE lawer to look over my contract. Initially, things went great. The fees seemed a bit high but Seth seemed very thorough and had great reviews online. I had a home inspection done. However, after touring, it was clear that more work would need to be done than was anticipated and the seller took liberties as to the work that needed to be done versus what I had stated in my offer. At this point, I felt it wise to back out of the deal. I brought my concerns to Seth who was clearly agitated as both him and the Real Estate Agent representing the seller were seemingly friends or acquaintances that had worked together many times before. We canceled the contract and Seth charged me a fraction of the initial fee since I didn't go through with the process. This made sense but the way it was posed to me made it seem as though he was doing me a favor instead of getting paid simply for the work he had done up until this point. Edit: Seth has reached out to me regarding this review and I am appreciative of his effort.

I have experience with lots of real estate of closings in the past. This is the second with Hill and Fischer. The firm is very meticulous and through with the document review. They are excellent with communication and getting back to you. They make the process very smooth, and you feel assured that the contracts and all the paperwork is done fairly and correctly. This is probably the best firm in Central NY.
