I am a Real Estate agent who's clients sold their beautiful home in Amherst and purchased their newest home 8 minutes away! We closed Friday! We had sat down several months ago to make a plan. My clients had decided to casually look at homes (nothing serious since nothing was piquing their interest at the time) while they were making repairs and minor corrections to their current home so we could list it in the upcoming months. They chose to work with Jeff Voelkl's office to represent them during the transaction after a brief phone call with Andrea at the office. I nudged them to see a home since it checked every box they had been dropping hints about. Once we went to see it, my clients fell in love and we had to act FAST in order to secure it. All the planning went out the window and we had to make very quick decisions. After negotiating our deal on their dream home, we listed their current home within hours of getting it signed. We knew we were going to hit some bumps along the way since the deal my clients chose on their current home ended up putting us in a "domino" purchase, but I was confident everything was going to work out...especially since I have worked with Andrea before on previous deals and knew she would put 110% into getting it closed as timely as we possibly could so everyone, on ALL deals, could close simultaneously. We knew it was going to take a lot of effort to make sure each deal held together so that the other deals would work out, too. We were smooth sailing for about a month...and literally at the VERY end, everything went a little haywire. The purchaser of my listing's buyer of her own house refusing to cooperate with closing timelines for EVERYONE... no clear to close on the buyer of my listing's side 4 days before closing even though the attorney said it was...the final walkthrough on my client's purchase coming up with some issues...a bank attorney's license that wasn't updated...no checks at the closing table...etc. It could have fallen apart SO easily. However, thanks to Andrea and the buyer's agent of my listing, we were able to keep it all together despite the craziness. Everyone worked together to get things done and kept the stress to a minimum (at least as minimum as you can when 3 homes are all trying to close on the same day!). A HUGE thank you to Andrea for jumping through every literally every hoop that was thrown at us with the upmost confidence that it would get worked out, even when it looked like it would collapse. Without her, I would still be pulling out my hair trying to get my clients into their dream home! THANK YOU!!!

Used Jeff for my fathers estate in 2018 and again for my mothers in 2022. Also used Jeff to do our will. Jeff and Janice are both great to work with! Fast responses and keep you up to date on everything going on. I highly recommend them!

I hired Voelkl to handle a real estate matter. He asked for a retainer of $2,000 which seemed excessive at the time, but it included a Title Search which I know can be expensive. I have yet to receive a copy of the Title Search despite my requests, so I honestly can't say if he really obtained it. He would never return phone calls or emails without me making repeated attempts to contact him. He even called me at my job from his car on the way to a court appearance that I didn't even know about, asking me to make decisions in the ten minutes before he was in front of a judge. My initial retainer ran out in two seconds, and for the life of me I'm not sure what he thought he spent it on. He never moved the case along without my prodding and continually stated that we had to discuss more money in payment. Weeks went by without contact, and even when I emailed him asking him to at least be professional and tell me if he no longer wished to handle the case, he never responded. Now my issue is hanging in limbo and I have to hire another attorney to jump into the middle of a bungled case. Voelkl is completely unprofessional. No clients should have to beg for the attention of their attorney.

This attorney did not handle the case ethically & it was very obvious he was driven by greed. In my opinion he was very sneaky & I beleive he thinks he's above the law. A

Jeff worked with my wife and me to put together our estate planning documents, including our wills. We had a lot of concerns and questions, and Jeff was very patient with us as he addressed these with consideration of our preferences, based on his knowledge and experience. Jeff also helpfully shared his understanding of other aspects of New York state law and practice that will have a bearing on our future choices and decisions. We were very pleased with the final results.

It was a pleasure working with Voelkl Law on my mother's probate and estate closing. Communication was timely, clear and concise. Everything went smoothly because of their expertise. I would work with them again in the future.
