Stay away from Mr. Motts law firm, all Mr. Motts cares about is taking your money and you never hear from him again doesn’t represent you in court passes you on to other lawyers that don’t even know your case he’s rude arrogant and so is his staff. Ignore your phone calls. Doesn’t even prepare for court doesn’t show up had to represent myself asked for my $2500 back ignored me. He’s a crooked lawyer stay away if you’re smart. !

Mott is always MONEY, MONEY, MONEY. On the other hand, he never keeps his words to make the petition to file at the court. He made the wrong dates on our very important subpoena and petition. It was critical. He contacted us only just because asking for MONEY. There is no way to retain him. We wasted 1 month and $2000 just because of his mistakes. He might have too many cases, but this is not what a professional attorney does.

I had a very urgent issue with a lease agreement that I signed but had to cancel due to personal reasons. I contacted Mr Geoffrey T. Mott's office and was able to speak with Mr Mott immediately. He was very professional, kind and asked me all the right questions to get the full picture of my case. I forwarded to him my lease agreement and all correspondence I had from the leasing office. He then worked with his staff (Christopher D. Ginelli) to contact the leasing office and try to resolve this issue and cancel the agreement. They had to act fast as the time was running out. They had to send a letter via certified mail, fax and e-mail. They did everything in one day! They were in contact with me all the time, responding to all my emails promptly and keeping me up to date on the progress. I was not only able to cancel the lease agreement but I also got all my money back (first month's rent and security deposit)! And all this happened during COVID -19 when the leasing office was technically closed and it was very hard to get hold of anyone. Thank you Mr Mott and Mr Ginelli for helping me sort out this issue - you are true professionals and I will definitely be reaching out again if I ever need to.

They Firm was so outstanding, helpful, and most of all Polite. Mr. Mott listens to my son bad situation and assisted me and my son in the right direction. He called me every week to see if our situation was improving or my son was doing well. I have met other people who I spoke with at the supermarket anf they asked me how Mr. Mott was I told them that I will never look anywhere else this man is outstanding he fought for my son case and we won the case. I was granted a lot of money. Thanks to Mr. Mott.

My experience: I called the New Jersey office three times before I got to speak with Mott. The first time I left a vm on the machine but no one called me back. Second time the assistance told me she will leave a message to Mr. Mott and he will call me back but I still didn't get a phone call back after two days. Third time I called I finally got to speak with Mott. I told him we have a commercial factory in New Jersey that we are looking to sell and we're looking for an attorney to represent us in the sales transaction. I then explained to him that since this is our first time selling in New Jersey we would like to know how much of real estate transfer fee we would need to pay if the transaction is about $3.5 million so we can have an idea of how much cost it's going to be for us. He then told me he would only be able to answer this question when we are ready to sell and actually hire him first. I then wanted to ask him how does the representation work and what it involves but before I could get my second word out: "So how...." And then click...he hung up on me. I've worked with tons of lawyers in New York from the past and there are good ones and bad ones. But Mott is definitely the most rude and obnoxious with his tone and attitude. I was shocked by his behavior but I was also a little bit glad that I was able to find out this about him so early on, otherwise I might end up down the road with my family's deal in his hand and suffer tremendously. I mean how can we actually decide on a big decision such as this one if we can't even get some very general questions answered first?
