Mr. Ted Besen is one of the attorneys I would recommend with trust ! He acts very profesional and is always there to advocate for you, once you hired him to represent your rights! He will defend for your privileges, properties, benefits, liberty and dignity and will go beyond and above just to know that you are in the best position having the best outcomes from the issue!

Received a ticket while passing through North Carolina (we are from Indiana) and are sooo thankful for Besen Law; they made the process less stressful and were able to handle the matter without us having to return to NC. They are truly professional, affordable and easy to work with; I would highly recommend them if you were ever in need.

Messer Law Firm was recommended to us and Al Messer was great! I have seen several lawyers in action, and I have to say Messer stood out. He advocated so well for everyone involved, he was very communicative, and professional. In arguments he was very well spoken and included every detail necessary. He was able to get us a much better outcome than anyone expected and we are eternally grateful!

Mr. Messer did an amazing job helping out one of my friends. He was looking at spending nearly 2-3 years in prison, but Mr. Messer was able to get him time served. It was a blessing having someone that works so hard to help his clients and the client's loved ones to get that family member back home. I can't explain how grateful we all are. Another great quality was the communication aspect. He kept everyone in the loop about upcoming changes for court appearances and times.

Al and Sara are an absolutely amazing duo. Al is personable, honest, trustworthy and diligent. He works behind the scenes and in front of them for every possibility and prepares you for every outcome. He advocates like a friend, not just an attorney. He has a heart of gold and a work ethic like no other. Our family is FOREVER grateful for his work and advocacy, his care and support during our difficult time and his understanding. Al is a friend to every client and has your absolute best interest at heart!

Mr Messer represented a family member and was thorough with the case. He showed up court and presented the facts to a jury in a manner that was professional and time lined. The jury returned with a not guilty verdict due to his ability to present the case in the formentioned manner! Thanks for a job well done and I recommend him highly!!

In the summer of 2023, I was experiencing one of the most difficult times of my life. I was possibly facing over five years in prison for a bizarre crime, I did not commit. Fortunately, I had grown up with a former President of the Buncombe County Bar Association, who was more than willing to recommend a stellar criminal attorney—Al Messer. Fortunately, Mr. Messer was willing and available to represent me. He immediately returned my call and instantly put me at ease. He never sugarcoated my situation; in fact, he made sure that I was well prepared for the worst possible situation. He let me know that he believed in my innocence (which was very important to me) and anticipated my exoneration, while also advising me how to prepare for the worst, just in case. During the many months leading up to my trial, we maintained regular contact while we strategized, reviewed, and prepped. He and Sara, his assistant, took the time to talk me down off the metaphorical edge, as needed. I felt confident in my representation every step of the way. While so much of this situation was beyond my control, it was therapeutic to feel that I was taking part in my own defense as Al was very willing to consider my input while always applying his experience and expertise. This was quite helpful in a situation where you often feel so helpless. During the trial proceedings, it became apparent, very quickly, that Mr. Messer was delivering a higher caliber of representation than people, in Marion, were accustomed to seeing. Several members of the DA’s staff sat in the audience to view his arguments and techniques. An employee of the DA’s office was even overheard stating that I had gotten my money’s worth. I couldn’t have agreed more. I am so happy that I hired an attorney from Asheville instead of my hometown. When facing any serious offense, please hire the very best representation available. You definitely get what you pay for, and your freedom, employability, and reputation are not things to cut corners on. Lastly, although my heart is so full of gratitude that my four-day trial concluded with a not-guilty verdict, in less than fifteen minutes, I am particularly pleased that Mr. Al Messer represented me in a way that makes me proud. In a field often populated with people of questionable character, Mr. Messer successfully represented me using brilliance, sound reasoning, experience, and tenacity without resorting to badgering, bullying, or lying; he didn’t have to. He was able to use his knowledge of the law and the facts of the case to appeal to the jury in a way that allowed everyone on my side to hold our head’s head. Trust me—if you are fortunate enough to be represented by Al Messer, at Messer Law, your legal nightmare will be mitigated as much as possible. I honestly could not be more thankful to him and his office. If you have any specific questions, feel free to reach out to me on Facebook. Michelle Wilson-Cline

I highly recommend Al Messer for anyone looking for an attorney that will advocate and show genuine care. I reached out to Al’s office after my husband’s case went federal and he was quick to respond and get details and even met me on a weekend. He took the case and immediately started to prepare a defense. He advocated for my husband and our family. He explained everything to us that we needed to know and gave us notice for what was to come to prepare for us for any potential outcomes. He visited my husband frequently while he was being held at the jail. Sara in his office was amazing throughout the whole time in relaying information. We were looking at anywhere between a 24-30 month sentence and after 13 months my husband was given time served with 3 years of probation. My husband is home with me and our children and I 100% believe it has a lot to do with Al making sure my husband was seen as the man he is and not what is on a paper and how others were trying to make him out to be. If you find yourself in a place that you never expected and don’t know where to go or what to do, call Albert Messer’s office first!
