I hired Mr. Mills to represent me on a misdemeanor assault charge in Hendersonville. He never showed up to court His secretary tells me "he's on his way" case gets continued and he withdraws from my case. I would never recommend this attorney.

I called to get a consultation and the receptionist said that Mr Mills would call me back. A week by and no call. So I called the next week and she asked for my name again and wanted me to explain why I’m calling again. She claims she put the message on his desk and she would put another message on his desk. So I asked her did you not consult with about calling me back and she’s says I’m not his mother, I can’t make him call you back. Very unprofessional! Then I went online and requested a consultation online and went through same process when the receptionist call me back she acted like she didn’t know who I was and had to explain who I was and explain why I was calling again. It took attorney Mills 3 weeks to call back. When he finally called me back he tried to brush me off by saying if he filed a motion on my behalf he would charge me 7,500 dollars just to represent me. Then he says but he doesn’t do chid support cases any more. 7,500 just to file a motion and represent me. I was referred to him by a white person and I am Afro American. He doesn’t treat everybody the same! I would not recommend this practice at all.

I retained this firm's services about a year and a half ago and I have nothing but praise for Mr. Mills and his team. I was always treated with the utmost respect and kindness, which was a huge comfort as I had no prior experience with law firms. Mr. Mills secured the order that I was seeking within a few short months, yet he and his team have both stayed in touch with me and kept up with my case even though they were/are not obligated to. They even mailed me a copy of the final sentencing paperwork for my records, providing me a sense of closure as I was not able to make the trek back to Asheville to witness the sentencing in person. Mr. Mills and his team genuinely care about the wellbeing of their clientele, and I am so grateful that they came into my life. Dealing with the judicial system is never fun, but Mr. Mills made my experience as comfortable as possible. I am eternally grateful!
