I was fired, two days later broken up with— so everything in my life had fallen apart. I went on a drinking binge, got a DWI, tried to commit suicide and went to cope stone and hired Amy Smith for $3,000. Keep your money if you get a DWI, do your research and figure out what you need to bring and represent yourself. Basically just pay for substance abuse classes (I went to Silver Lining), install the interlock before court and bring a copy of the paperwork, bring proof of your insurance to demonstrate you are covered, surrender your license, and pay the courts in cash (there’s an ATM at the courthouse). You’ll get a paper driving privilege and that will be your license. Kirk from Alcolock in Hendersonville was the most helpful during this time. Something they don’t inform you is that you can’t have more than .4 BAC for 2-3 years when you get your license back (after you pay more money to the DMV, of course) Amy said the interlock would be in my car for only a year but it was in it for 15 months. Didn’t have a problem with it being in my car, it was the fact I had to pay for those additional months. I tried calling Amy twice and always got the receptionist because she was “busy” and left a message to relay to her and she never returned my calls to explain why the interlock was in longer than she said it would be, nor try to help me. Essentially, she represented me in court and got her money and was done with me. Don’t get a lawyer for a DWI.

He got my traffic ticket dropped after 2 other local attorneys said they couldn’t do anything with it! Call him, he obviously knows what he’s doing!
