If you need a good family relations lawyer Jim is the guy you want on your side of the courtroom. Located in the historic Patton Parker house, this is also a great event venue.

I worked with Siemens Family Law Group for my divorce, specifically Jim and Dorothy. While the situation I was in was emotionally charged, full of turmoil and confusion, the care and legal service I received was top notch. SFLG took the time to hear my needs and provide council for the options that were available to me. I had never been in a divorce situation, and felt personally and professionally attacked during the initial process and subsequent filing of the lawsuit against me. Jim helped by clarifying what the process of divorce looked like, helped lay out a plan for equitable distribution, child support and custody, protecting my businesses, and removed the drama from our side of the equation. With the help of SFLG I was able to remove the personal attacks against me, find a settlement both parties could agree upon, find peace in my time of difficulty, and come out a father who has equal time and rights with my child, which has no greater value.

I'm not sure why Jim gets such amazing reviews from multiple sources. I did my homework and chose this firm based on the strong recommendations. My consultation with him was somewhat awkward. He's aloof and my impression was that hospitality was not his priority. I figured, "Fine, this is a business meeting. I'm sure he'll be an awesome attorney." We parted ways with him quoting a price for service. About a month later, I contacted him requesting the discussed service. His emails were cold, but he agreed and sent an invoice. The invoice was for double what we had discussed and no explanation was provided. I asked why the price had doubled and he very briefly stated that another service was automatically bundled in the new price. He refused to offer the one service we discussed exclusively. Jim is near the top of the stack in pricing and has a terrible demeanor in my opinion. If you have good luck with him, good for you. We did not click at all.

Jim understood the dynamics of my high conflict case right away. He laid ground rules to follow to reduce the conflict and build the foundation of my successful custody trial. I did not always agree with Jim’s advice but I trusted him and followed it. He could not have been more right, at every turn! Jim is a straight shooter and will tell you the things you don’t want to hear but need to. Jim handled my case with forethought, empathy, personal attention, and peaceful resolution. I highly recommend Jim Siemens for divorce and custody representation. I feel you will benefit from Jim being involved in your proceedings but you will fare much better with him working in your favor.

I cannot imagine having a better legal experience than with Jim. Took money from me up front .... several thousands .... I decided not to go through with divorce and even though I didn’t use the money in my account he refused to give me my money back!! I wrote the NC state bar and they made sure I got my money back!!!! I find that HIGHLY DISHONEST AND CROOKED!!!!
