In my experience they don’t actually come to court or even talk to you in person about family matters anyway. They just send some pre-filled papers and say good luck. The same papers you can find on Google or at the courthouse. The clerks office told me to call Pisgah legal back for information and they told me to call the courthouse. The lawyer I was a “client” of stopped returning calls and I later learned she didn’t work there anymore. I tried again recently to call for advice from a lawyer about my options with restraining orders and property laws, I didn’t even make it past the intake lady. She said she didn’t understand what was legal about my situation (restraining order????? Also I don’t want to tell the receptionist every detail) or why I needed to speak with a lawyer if I wasn’t filing immediately (for legal advice???). Overall I got very minimal help over two experiences.

Somewhat helpful, however I am not sure that this organization had the best interests of the client at heart. The obtained outcome thus far has given the the client the feeling that the best interests of a party other than the client is what pisgah legal services was working to obtain.

Went through an incredibly hard time. Pisgah legal helped me get through it, and went above and beyond my expectations! Thank you all so much 🙏

Sketchy. They all tell you something different. I had to read off statutes 2 different times to the attorney myself. She replied both times. “You are correct, I apologize.” If I know more than you, what good or you to me? None.

They were very perfesional and quick to see me and take care of my case. I'll have what I needed done soon. Thank you for the help.

Still have issues that were supposed to be taken care of by Kathy Walker and they're still problems.

The first attorney I was given I could hardly get ahold of them and they was very little assistance with my divorce papers. But then Mr.Phillip Carwane was transferred to my case and he was wonderful: He had a great attitude, filed out the paperwork while I gave him the info he needed Great Work!!!!

It's extremally hard to get help with them if u need because they stay so busy. It's amazing these people do these things pro-bono for people and help them when they need it the most. I commend all the volunteers and specialists that help. My only issue is sometimes these issues are time sensitive and they take longer than u would like to try and solve the issue at hand. So for some instances you cannot receive the help u truly need because it's too late or they can't take the case being backed up. So...that's my only issue is time
