I hired Mark to represent me in child custody case. He took 3,000 dollars from me, and never showed up for any of the court dates. He was contacted multiple times by phone, text, and email, and never returned my calls. His website has been taken down, and no one can get in contact with him. Apparently, he has been doing this too others reading past post.

After hiring him for a simple divorce he disappeared with my money. His website was suspended, two addresses listed for him were bogus, phone calls went straight to voicemail and he wouldn’t return emails or texts. The man needs to be disbarred and investigated. It appears I’m not the only one who has fallen victim to him. Several others over the past months and even years according to reviews have fallen victim to him as well.

I am a single mom working full time, he took $ 3000 and never filed my papers for legal custody. He is not returning my calls or emails. disappeared since November 2023. Please if you know his whereabouts, please post something. It's shameful what he did!

Paid $500 to have him handle the paperwork for an adult adoption. Dragged it out over two years and never had anything prepared. When I requested the birth certificates, etc be returned, he said he'd get around to it. Never did. I finally did the adoption myself for half the cost of what he charged me to do nothing - and I can't seem to get him to return a call to get my money back. Untrustworthy and useless.

Mark is a very professional lawyer, and takes into consideration your feelings and fears of going through something like a divorce. He was the only lawyer that talked with me without a fee. He Spoke with me anytime I was concerned about anything. He is very intelligent, very professional, and very caring in what he does. I could not have found a better attorney and I recommend him to anyone. In the end, everything he predicted was exactly how things worked out. If you have Mark Upright as your attorney, you have already won.

Mr. Upright was an excellent advocate for my children from beginning to the end of case. Very patient and listens to you concerns and questions. I away knew what to expect going into hearings. Really helped me with North Carolina Law and understand my rights and the rights of your children. If you need an Attorney to get things done, he is your man.

Great Experience. Attorney Upright took us through a Separation Agreement, Child Custody and Divorce. Avoided the negative aspects of a Divorce case. Worked to craft and agreement that we both felt good about. Would Highly recommend!

Mark caused me to lose out on so much money in my divorce and even worse, lose my children! He was unresponsive, late to turn in court documents and condescending. It seems he helps men but has no time for women. He attended a holiday party with the opposing attorney AND my ex WHILE representing me and discussed my case with him! He doesn't return calls or emails, makes loads of mistakes (still has my address listed incorrectly after 2 years of representing me!).He would disappear for months with no paralegals to maintain communication while he was gone. My current lawyer has done more in 2 months than he ever did in 2 years, and has to just undo all the damage Mark caused.

Mark Upright recently helped me through a difficult situation with a family law matter .Mark regularly kept me updated and informed through the process and helped provide the best result for our family !

Having paid in full for services in April 2021, I have been given numerous false promises on the completion of my case. Suffice it to say, after 13 messages and numerous emails, I had to change to a professional attorney to complete the case. In essence, i pad in good faith and received nothing but false assurances, please be careful when dealing with this attorney.

Mark typifies the best characteristics of lawyers and genuinely cares about client issues. He is professional, responsive, thorough, and patient. He is entirely devoid of the pretense that some attorneys carry. His MBA and commitment to teaching and community engagement only bolster my opinion of his strong and diverse knowledge base, empathy, and care for the community of which he is a long-standing and respected member.

I would highly recommend Mark Upright for any family legal matters that you might have. Mark did a great job settling outside of court and allowing my boys to visit once again.
