Mr. Bridgman and his amazing staff helped me with my disability case. They were on top of everything, and they were able to get me a hearing only five months after my appeal (this normally takes a LOT longer). Mr. Bridgman and his team were able to answer all of my questions, always within 24 hours. Very responsive! I felt prepared for my hearing, and Mr. Bridgman really fought for me. Mr. Bridgman and his staff were the best at helping me win my disability claim. They were always very responsive to my phone calls and answered my questions with complete satisfaction. Due to covid, my hearing with the judge was by phone. Mr Bridgman called me the day before and spent an hour with me on the phone preparing me for my case. The next day I did not even have to talk to the judge. The judge approved my claim by talking to Mr. Bridgman first negating a phone call to me from the judge. What a relief! I highly recommend Mr. Bridgman and his staff to any one needing professional help.

I first applied for disability using a large, out-of-state clearing- house type firm that the hospital gave us information about upon my discharge after I had a stroke during surgery. A supposed advantage of the firm was supposed to be an automated/self-serve type o of online system. What that actually translated to was filling out a bunch of questions alone online without any guidance or personal assistance. The large firm had no idea who I was and customer service was basically like calling the cable company. No one was in charge of my case specifically. The only time I ever got updates or found out action was needed on my case was if I called the clearing house firm this included an incident in which I discovered my medical records had never made it into the DSS System. But to cut a long story short I lost my case. Given the chance to appeal, I decided I did not trust the large clearing house firm to handl my appeal, that’s when I went looking for a new attorney. I found Bridgman law through a Google search. I liked Bridgman’s experience in the field and the idea of a local Charlotte representative. I discussed my case with one of his office’s paralegals. She seemed knowledgeable and on point. Bridgman reviewed my case and agreed to take it on which I also liked (as it showed some investment of time and thought). My appeal wasn’t quick and easy. It feels like The whole disability system is designed to intimidate, discourage and wear down applicants so that people eventually just give up or die while waiting for assistance. I almost did both. Yadda yadda my appeal was denied. So then Bridgman calmly inform me wouldappealed that denial. I will admit I was fearful and anxious and frustrated, but when ever I contacted Bridgman Law I was able to reach an actual human being instead of another nightmare phone tree. I felt like I actually had people onMY SIDE. There’s a reason why people hire lawyers for their disability cases. You may not have done this before but they have. Experience matters. eventually my case was scheduled for a hearing, Bridgman spent more than an hour on the phone with me prepping. ( per covid restrictions). I wish I had gotten to hear Bridgman’s opening statement ahead of time because once the hearing started and he gave his statement, the former journalist in me thought: “ dang this guy is good.” He actually knew my file and specifically cited my medical records to emphasize his points. The hearing was short and sweet. At the conclusion I thought... well that either went really really well or really really badly. Bridgman called me afterward to debrief and though we await the official written decision, all signs point to a win.

Unless you are 50 there is no need to call for help.
