Would be 5 stars but took to long to get my settlement check after signing insurance check over. Otherwise great legal firm.

Anastasia Cowan was exactly what our family needed. She was bright, trustworthy, experienced, and extremely professional. Over the 3 years we used her services she impressed us over and over again. Ms. Cowan is TOUGH when it matters and very level headed. We could trust her to explain the realities of the court system and come up with the best approach and plan to reach our goal. She will definitely be our go-to family attorney for the future and I can't recommend her highly enough.

If you’re going through child custody, divorce.. save time and energy and hire Anastasia Cowan. She’s a child welfare law specialist (1 out of 22 lawyers in N.C.). My child custody case is quite unique. The other lawyers didn’t grasp that. I’m grateful to God for sending Anastasia my way. She’s straightforward. She’ll tell you what you need to hear and will be tough on you if she needs to so you know what to expect and she’ll come up with a strategy to get you what you want. She doesn’t waste your time or money talking about everything and anything just to get billable hours. She focuses on your goal and will fight for you to get you what you want. What I like the most about her is she’s open minded and where some lawyers can’t see a way, she’ll make a way. Her creativity is definitely a big asset. In court she doesn’t let the opposing counsel get away with anything. She’s calm yet fierce. All praise to God, I was able to get a temporary parenting agreement from the judge that was way better than what everyone thought. I’m grateful that I had Anastasia on my side to fight for me. If your child custody case is not unique, I’d still hire her. You might get more than is expected. If she’s that good at winning difficult and unique child custody cases, i wonder what she’ll do with standard, typical cases? She’s easy to talk to, super fast at getting back to you via email (I love that about her), compassionate and creative. I’m grateful for having her represent me. Keep up the good work Anastasia! I left a bad review of this place awhile ago and i have had time to reflect on my case and have come to the realization that due to the circumstances of my case no lawyer could have won my particular case because i was in a no win situation because of unproven lies of the other party. This law firm is very professional and attentive and my prior review was made out of misdirected anger and i sincerely apologize. I have been a client of this law firm for 11 years and they were at every court hearing fighting for me tooth and nail and we won a lot of the battles. We just finally lost the war, which was of no fault of theirs nor mine. It takes a man to admit when he is wrong and i was wrong for leaving a review like that of this place. I highly recommend this law firm, they are one of the best in mecklenburg county

I was a single mom with a one year old and my custody case was very difficult and unique to most lawyers, I interviewed several attorneys before going with Anastasia and I am forever grateful that I did. Her professionalism, intelligence and genuine concern have been pivotal in getting the results I wanted and needed. I never ever thought I would be going through a divorce. I am a stay at home, home-school mom who has been out of the work force for the past 22 years. I was terrified at the thought of just making the initial consultation appointment. I am so glad I didn't let fear win. The office has a very warm atmosphere and the appointment started on time. I met with Anastasia Cowan and Matthew Arnold. They thoroughly answered all my questions and put my fears to rest. They didn't try to force a decision from me in any way. After the consultation though, I knew this was who I wanted representing me. Anastasia Cowan is competent and thorough in her processes. When I was unsure and asked her opinion she was straightforward and clear in her responses. When I didn't understand she was able to explain and make things clear. She patiently answered my questions, and I asked a lot of questions. She brought a sense of calm whenever I started to get anxious or overwhelmed. Anastasia is fierce. Sitting next to her in court was amazing. She is calm and confident, and rightly so. She is completely prepared. She is ready for what ever comes her way. She doesn't get flustered. She is focused and on task. I felt completely safe and protected, because I was. Divorce is quite a process. Your lawyer is going to become intimate with every detail of your life, past and present. Never once did I feel judged or unimportant. Whenever we would discuss something I always felt like I was her only client, even though I wasn't. I whole-heartedly recommend Anastasia Cowan. You could not be in better hands.

I met Anastasia 8 days before a full custody hearing. Even I had a lot of documentation and the best of intentions. I couldn’t made it with out her. It would not be possible without her professionalism and deep understanding of the law . She was also very responsive via e mail and phone whenever I had questions Sometimes love and justice is not enough, you need a lawyer to defend you, in my case, I found so much more than that. This is a very complicated situation, and not matter how hard things are. She sincerely cares about her clients, she cares about me and my daughter. On top of that she works with a great assistant, Kristin, they are very responsive, very quickly not only rights you back, but Kristin writes back in the next hour or so, it is unbelievable the kind of person that she is. No wonder why they work as a team. When things get impossible, she is there to lift you up and see the good things. Anastasia is not only my attorney; she gives me hope. She is more that I wonderful attorney, she is a wonderful person. She takes the time to listen to you, hear your opinion. Anastasia can see so much father that I can see and is able to bring me peace when everything is shaking. There is not one day goes by that when I see or play with my daughter the name Anastasia does comes to my mind. Going through a custody batter, I would say, torture, it is hard to explain all the things that you want to say, You need a an attorney that is there for you, your voice when you don’t have the right words. She is definitely in my prayers at night when I get to part of being thankful you for things. She is definitely someone you want on your side to help you through. I highly recommend her.

Like most of us do when we find ourselves in need of an attorney, we thank to ourselves, how much is it going to cost and how will I pay for it. That is exactly what I said when I found myself in a child custody battle between me and my ex. After going to court, I quickly realized that this was not a task I wanted to take on without legal advice. Again, like most of us I ran to the rescue of the internet. I was then escorted to a conference room, offered some refreshments and was told the attorney would be in shortly. Shortly after, I was greeted by a young lady that was soft spoken and easy going. She introduced herself as Anastasia. I said to myself OMG, here I go again. She didn’t look like she would harm a fly. By this point, I had been through a lot, and things were not looking good, I needed a bulldog on myside. She sat down and we began to talk, I started with day one and brought her up to my current situation. After explaining to her how many times I had been to court, how many judges I had spoken to, and how many attorneys I had, she just smiled and said “ok and”! I took a stack of papers about 2 inches thick and pushed them across the table to her, I told her that these were the papers I had collected over the years going back and forth to court. She smiled and said, “I am here to help you”! I said to her “that’s what the last 3 attorneys said and now I am left with a big debt and a stack of papers”. She smiled and said “just give me a chance, it’s going to cost you, I am not sure how much and if you feel like we are getting in too deep just let me know and I won’t be offended, we can stop”. Fast forward to a year later, I now have custody of my daughter during the school year, along with child support to assist me with caring for her needs.
