I got T-boned at the worst part of the pandemic. Doctors appointments were hard to come by and (I am hoping, due to their stress) no doctor took my pain seriously. I went to a Chiropractor but I was still in pain. I figured I would have to live with this forever. Giesela called to see how I was doing and I told her that doctors were not taking my pain seriously and she sent me to a specialist. That specialist found a spinal cord injury and found a course of treatment that helped my pain significantly. Giesela, if you read this, I am truly grateful for you having my back and validating my feelings. My mental health was not handling chronic pain very well- especially with doctors constantly dismissing it. When I finally got a diagnoses, I cried with relief. I wasn't crazy. My pain was valid. I honestly do not think I would be here if you did not have me go to the specialist to get better. Thank you so much. Mr. DeMayo and his team was amazing as well, but Giesela made this experience painless.
