I was referred to Attorney Jennifer Dixon to assist in a high-conflict family law case. Jennifer was able to quickly get up to speed and resolve all outstanding issues within 6 months, a stark contrast from previous representation that in a 3 year period was unable to make any progress on multiple fronts. I have worked with multiple family law attorneys in NC as well as CT; Jennifer is far and away the most knowledgable and organized I have worked with to date. Family law cases can be stressful enough; save yourself significant stress and hire the right attorney from the start!

I sought basic help from Jennifer for a simple NC divorce that was underway with my spouse's attorney, but I had not obtained representation. I had a clear idea of what was needed and mainly wanted assurance that everything was proceeding appropriately. I fought representation from someone who would seek timely completion and explain delays clearly. Jennifer more than meet my criteria and kept me up to date or a regular basis. She is an excellent communicator who keeps an aggressive timeline. She also handled a simple domestic relations order that was nonetheless confusing to a layperson.

I went through a painful divorce where child custody was handled in NC and the divorce itself was handled in another state. To make matters more confusing, Jennifer took over my case midway through the divorce and custody as my original family law attorney retired and recommended her. She handled it like the professional she is. She got right up to speed, consulted with my divorce attorneys in another state and didn't miss a thing. Couldn't be happier with her and am not going to use her for estate planning.

I quite recently was facing very dire consequences for a hefty speeding/reckless and endangerment charge; in a county notorious for being especially hard on offenders for that particular charge. Was quite possible and likely that my license would be suspended or even revoked, and that additional fines (on top of court fees) be demanded. I'm currently unemployed, desperately looking for work, live in a rural area without public transport...losing my license would have been catastrophic. Would have had no way to even get to the grocery store, much less travel from Hendersonville to Greenville and Asheville and everywhere in between as needed for job interviews and medical appts. There were multiple extreme extenuating circumstances surrounding, and which directly led, to my offense. Though legally they don't technically excuse my actions, people capable of compassion, understanding, and open-mindedness, MIGHT view my actions differently in light of the circumstances, and possibly treat a fairly common and serious offense with pretty standard, pre-set consequences a bit differently. Not the usual description of a DA, and I was not optimistic. However, Jennifer was somehow able to convince the DA to read my personal statement and fairly assess the circumstances at the time of my offense, as well as take medical conditions I was suffering from into account when determining what my sentence would be. I'm sorry to say I've never met Jennifer in person, because she must have magical powers of persuasion and the ability to convince people to view things from a different perspective. The DA was shockingly, and most gratefully, incredibly lenient with me. Jennifer must have STRONGLY convinced the DA to seriously consider the entirety of the situation; enough to, consequently, treat me with a great deal of understanding and compassion. I had begged to keep my license and offered to go to driving school, serve community service hours, ANYthing to avoid losing my only means of transportation. Jennifer persuaded the DA to DISMISS the reckless and endangerment charges, reduce the speeding ticket from 37mph over the limit to 14 over!!! No driving school, community service; just the standard court fees, and corresponding fees and points on my license for a 14mph over-limit speeding ticket. Words cannot describe the relief, elation and amazement I felt upon receiving her prompt response with the results of my hearing on my court date. I was sure I was doomed and so incredibly grateful such leniency was shown. I am greatly indebted to Jennifer for working so hard on my behalf with such a successful result. Now, I'm NOT saying you should make bad decisions and break laws expecting Jennifer can get you off. I am sincerely remorseful for my actions, fully aware of the devastation they could have caused, take full responsibility for them, and have, and will continue to take measures not to repeat them. I was in a very troubled state of mind due to grievous personal events and exacerbated medical conditions at the time, and my actions were completely out of character; would never have occurred under different circumstances. I am just so fortunate I hired Jennifer to take my case because she was able to make the DA see and understand all of that and convince him/her of my sincerity. I expected the worse in this situation, but thanks to Jennifer, I've not only been saved from being dealt devastating repercussions, but have also gained a bit of faith that with the right people involved, our justice system actually CAN assess each case on an individual basis, and is capable of acting with compassion and mercy. And Jennifer is most DEFINITELY one of those right people who need to be involved for that to happen.

Jennifer did a great job of explaining the entire process of my divorce, alimony negotiations, and child support agreement. She was very professional yet aggressive at working through some rather difficult negotiations. She is detail oriented, extremely knowledgeable, and always responded to my concerns within the same day. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing legal assistance.

Despite other cars speeding faster than I was when I was on my way home at 11 pm at night - I was the one pulled over, and for quite a speeding ticket despite it being my first. I can't explain the amount of frustration and stress this brought me. Luckily I stumbled upon this firm and a couple of months later, Ms.Dixon handled my case and I am beyond happy with the result. I can't speak much higher about this because I trust in their services and highly recommend them so please don't hesitate in working with them!
