My son found himself in need of a lawyer. My personal attorney recommended Douglas Simmons. We did not want to leave his fate in the hands of a public defender. My son was facing serious charges and potential jail time. Mr. Simmons listened to the facts and did not pass judgment. He told us upfront what to expect from him and the potential outcome. I would recommend Attorney Simmons to anyone who needs legal assistance. He is very soft spoken and unassuming -- a gentle giant. He listens and he does his homework. I know that he wanted the best for my son and we never felt like he was just going through the motions. His Paralegal Denise Romero and the other staff members are equally professional and supportive and promptly responded to calls and emails. The costs for his services are very reasonable and my son walked away with a successful outcome. We cannot thank him enough for his help.

Attorney Doug Simmons and Paralegal Denise Romero did an outstanding job with my civil case. From the first day I met with them I knew they were on my side and would fight for my case. Denise kept me continuously informed throughout the process. Attorney Simmons exhausted all efforts to ensure I had a successful outcome with my case. I was frantic, scrambling. Trying to figure out whom to hire for legal representation. Seriously, I was absolutely lost in the trenches, going through a year-long battle over seeing my daughter. Facing the unbearable fact of heading to trail after the failed attempt of mediation, I did not know who to turn to. The contested case of child custody and visitation brought along a feeling of hopelessness and despair. Luckily, I chose Attorney Simmons and his team to guide through this daunting process. Mr. Simmons along with Ms. Romero (his lovely paralegal) and others were nothing short of supportive and assuring. I met with Mr Douglas on multiple occasions. He was extremely knowledgeable regarding my needs. Many drafts were made before my document was finalized. Both Mr. Douglas and his assistant were very professional and courteous.

Mr. Simmons is a nice person overall, however his service for my recent case was terrible. He spoke in front of the judge and after to words went into a blank stare and said that he had lost train of thought and that this never happens to him. Long story short for the money paid and the services rendered I couldve represented myself and recieved the same results. p.s- the paralegals are rude as if they have passed the bar already!

Terrible services provided, the paralegals never respond to calls or even give accurate information. I only heard from Mr. Simmons one time and he asked me what I think he should do about my case. They tell you a price then once you are involved they add on additional fees. My original "200 dollar" quote turned out to be almost 500 dollars. I would give 0 stars if that was possible. I do not recommend this law office to anyone unless you are looking to get screwed. I would of been better of representing my self in court and saved a lot of money for the same results with less hassle.
