Hatley runs the uptown Charlotte market professionally and efficiently. Always have great experiences w them and they always answer questions thoroughly. Love these guys

Great service. My car was totalled, they drove to me and help set up physical therapy. Very easy to communicate with them and they were always happy to answer questions and keep me informed.

Hired this law firm for my accident and they got paid $35,000. Gave me appx $33,000 and held appx $33,000 in a trust fund for medical. I was told once medical bills was completed that I would get the balance mailed to me. The medical bills were paid by my insurance so I never owed anything and never received anything else from them. They won’t answer my phone calls or emails. Just ignore me. So it seems that I am going to have to hire another attorney to help me get the money out of them that doesn’t belong to them. I was the one who was involved in the accident and had to have the surgeries, go through all the pain. Greedy people was $35,000 not enough for you all to make a few phone calls and print out a few papers.

Buyers of a property we were selling chose these realtors. First email they sent had over 15 “title issues” only one of them needed to be paid. Bonds then came up. When talking with our normal lawyer they advised that bonds don’t attach to properties and that there was no money owed and no one to even pay. We tried explaining this to Michele. She said Jacob would have to double check it and that she sent him all the info. This was 1 1/2 weeks before closing. We checked in multiple times with no update. All we got was “still waiting on attorney to review” morning of the closing comes and Jacob sends out an email asking about the bonds. He didn’t even look over the title of this property until the day of the closing. Then after a few hours he informed us they would have to start an investigation on the bonds. (Keep in mind e talked to so many people who said this was common law for real estate and they never heard of an attorney thinking bonds were anything” over the period of another week and a half we heard NOTHING left voicemails with no response and no returned emails from Jacob. After hounding them they finally came back saying bonds were cleared. This was on a Friday. They set the new closing for the following Monday. Monday morning they send out a closing statement. Now showing 2 new “judgements” that none of us were ever made aware of. I asked for a copy that morning and sent it straight to my normal lawyer. He said they were fines and you do not pay fines at a closing. He then sent over the statute for these lawyers because they obviously needed it. Come time to do the closing. We deal with one of the partner attorneys Jacob wasn’t even there. Closing went smooth and they removed the two problems after the closing and paid us the difference. Around 3 hours after closing they sent an email stating we would have to pay tax lien for another previous owner. 2 lawyers before this cleared this previous owner with no social. They then said to not have to pay it we would have to find this person and they would have to sign a not me form. We just decided to pay the $300 to not have to deal with it any longer. We told them just take our money. At 430 same day we had not been paid for the property but new owners had already taken possession of the home. We started calling at 10 till 4 trying to figure out where our checks were and surprise no answer. Next morning we just decided to go to rock hill and see what was going on. As soon as we walked in receptionist handed our checks to us they didn’t even inform us our money was ready. During the time of the closing “investigation” the buyers were charged $700 to extend their closing date with their loan company and me and my partner had to spend around another $500 upkeep on the property. I would love to know how much money these lawyers have costed people who didn’t know any better and who didn’t have another lawyer to call and verify they were absolutely wrong every step of the way.

I’m not one to usually review someone is a bad way because I understand mistakes happen and people aren’t perfect. But I can’t go on without saying something and helping prevent others from the lack of education and potential to cost many people thousands of dollars due to ignorance! If my partner and I had not had a voice in the sale of a house we were selling then this firm wouldve successfully costed us 23k dollars in FINES liens and judgements that were completely unrelated to the property at sale! We then took matters into our own hands and called two lawyers that had recently done a title search on this property and cleared the title free and clear!! I presented Sperry and Hatley with these findings and law statues that as a lawyer they should’ve already known and was able to get it all cleared except for 308 dollars that we did still have to pay to a completely random person in a totally different counties tax lien. You are welcome i guess! PLEASE when i tell you do not fall victim to this lawyer’s incompetence, ignorance, and lack of education in his job ! If you are in search of a lawyer we have done many sales with Robert Davis law firm in kershaw sc with great satisfaction and believe it or not they will Actually answer the phone and return your call unlike Sperry and Harley law firm !!

I did not know you can hire an enemy to work for you, I work into the office speak with Jacob to represent us on closing, my life was in a treat due to an abusive marriage, I decided to add my family member name to a renovating property just in case, on closing , they come up with a plan saying the IRS have to withhold 14k, after all paperwork has been signed, i did not know it was Jacob Ideal, This same Jacob was the one telling me, I can take the money back if i file taxes for her, i have file for her with pawer of Attorney, the money has not come, during taxes every one was asking us why do they do this? We make no profit, so why? That I don't know, I paid taxes for my business with my tax ID & social, the business is done hare in United States SC, it was yesterday I get a later that Jacob wrote & said is not applicable but they should withhold that money with the IRS not state but Federal, I was so sad when i saw that email, I have a copy, if i did not see that money I am return to Sperry law firm with another lawyer, this is not right, I feel bad b/c if is not applicable why did Jacob & Rebecca have to stress us that way? the closing fees was supposed to be 300 to 400, they took 550, this is what they do to people of Color like us and is very bad, I have my medical surgery bills & other bills to pay with that money, The owner of this Firm was really a Nice person, I have work with him before, so I thought every one is the same, but is not what I was thinking,

Marcari,Russotto, Spencer &Balaban they were so my hat goes off to Mr Greg Wilson and Pouy they were so amazing they attended to my need they addressed every issue that I had a problem with it was so spectacular I will recommend anybody to them they got me what I asked for and Miss Pouy was so amazing she got down to the nitty gritty and make sure everything was in place I greatly appreciate everything y'all did for Mr Wilson from the beginning to the end and may God bless them and they keep up
