Very professional, caring and courteous!

I feel very dubious about lawyers and the whole system, so I cannot tell you how relieved I was to find a law firm that I could really trust! And not just trust with a little thing, but with the most important things in my whole world: my kid, my family, my legacy after I'm gone. They handled my divorce and parenting agreement with such clarity, such integrity- they really made it as easy as it could possibly be. AND!!! they talked to me like a real human being who was intelligent, grown, and capable of making really hard decisions that would impact my life. The office is a kind and welcoming environment. I was greeted from the first moment, and it makes all the difference. I also prioritize businesses that are woman-owned, LGBTQ+ affirming, and local- not just chain repeats of corporate monsters. I have seen these attorneys fight for our communities in the most public and most private of spheres. They put their money, their time, their brilliance, their creativity and their resources where their mouth is. They are not just here to suck the money out of clients. I feel like they really care about us- about me and my family, and the many others in our community who have been helped by this firm in the most tender and most important legal proceedings of our lives. And, if you are new to town, you should know that they are kindof famous in our community. Thank you Milan & Meredith for being our champions, our defenders, our allies. I feel so much safer as a queer, brown mama knowing that y'all are on our side and there to help. I just can't thank you enough!

We had our wills prepared years ago before we were able to get married in 2015. We finally got around to seeking out a suitable "gay friendly" law firm and got a recommendation for NicholsonPham. At our initial meeting with attorney Milan Pham, she was friendly, patient, and quite welcoming. She set us at ease very quickly with her calm and warm demeanor. She asked a number of questions to determine our needs, state of affairs, and to establish a good rapport for going forward with our estate planning. Draft documents were prepared for our review. STAY AWAY IF YOU DON'T WANT TO LOSE YOUR SURROGATE. It appears communication is not at the top of their list. Me and my wife hired Milan Phan to complete our Surrogacy agreement with our surrogate. Because of their lack of urgency we may have lost our surrogate. They have been working on it for 3 months, an agreement that we already had completed. Meaning they didn't need to negotiate anything. When I reached out to them to get guidance on things, they actually thought I had my own attorney. Something we never expressed and find extremely weird to be honest. Regardless, we cleared that matter up and I have now called 3 times to request a call back from our attorney over a 10 day mark with NO response. My next step is contacting the North Carolina Bar and reporting them for lack of communication. Something an attorney can lose their license for. I just find it crazy that I have to threaten that to get a response from our attorney.
