I spoke with Caitlin about a soon to be formally requested Stormwater easement needed from a private developer. Caitlin answered all of my questions in a professional and competent manner. Caitlin informed me that NC Eminent Domain Law Firm would be more than happy to review the easement request at no charge to me. The only charge to me would be 30% of the difference between the original offer and the amount of the final offer. I will update this post at the conclusion of this process.

Great experience from start to finish. The NCDOT needed to take some of my land for a road widening project. They offered me X amount of dollars and proceeded with condemnation of part of my property. That is when I contacted Kevin with the NC Eminent Domain Law Firm. He was extremely knowledgeable and walked me through what to expect. Unfortunately it did take a couple years to completely settle the case but the outcome was way better than I expected. Kevin & Jason worked together and ended up settling my case for more than 5 times the amount that the NCDOT initially agreed to pay. They also discovered access issues that my property would have had as a result of the land the NCDOT was taking from me. I had no clue about this access issue and wouldn’t have known if it wasn’t for Kevin & Jason. They were able to negotiate a complete new entrance into my property that the NCDOT will be installing during their road widening project. Definitely recommend their firm.
