NC Eminent domain reached out to represent me in case where the City was widening the road in front of my home and needed to acquire some of my land. I tried to settle this myself and it took so much time, energy, and left me in a constant state of not knowing if I was doing the right thing. In hindsight, should have used NC Eminent Domain to do it for me. Was not worth the headache of doing it on my own.

Attorney Dennis handled a civil matter for me with such excellence. She listened…she assessed…she executed. Should you decide to hire her, you will not be disappointed.

I am so thankful I found her. When I first called her, my family had just suffered a tragic loss. I didn't know what to do or what my next steps were in my child custody case. Ms. Dennis listened and understood my concerns as if they were her own. She help put my mind at ease with all that I had going on, and gave me the knowledge I needed to move forward. I would definitely recommend her to everyone I know because she's the BEST!!

I hired India and never received the services and paperwork that she insisted she would provide. She has very little to no communication skills and when questioned about this, she becomes highly defensive. She informed me at the last minute that she couldn’t appear with me in court, and I only found this out after calling and emailing her repeatedly the day before court. She decided she was unable to represent me because she didn’t want to be stressed out because I asked her to communicate more effectively with me. She has only refunded a partial amount of my payment and refuses to give me the rest. I have requested several times via email for her to send me the completed paperwork she did to justify her charges. Her response was “I cleared out my database with your paperwork and I will look for it if I have the time”. After I informed her I would be seeking legal counsel to attempt to get all of my money back, she stated “I’m a small black owned business”. What does that have to do with her unprofessionalism, and inability to communicate effectively and giving me the completed paperwork.I also sent her all of our correspondence via email and text to show her she never sent nor requested any further information from me , now she’s refusing to respond and claiming “unduly stress”. This is one of her responses to my request for better communication. “Ok, do what you must. I am a small black owned business and in the short time that I have tried to work with you have caused me unduly stress. Phew! I truly sympathize with your situation but I have to be weary of high conflict cases this year. “ As a Family Law/ Divorce attorney any case can go from being amicable to high conflict. She appeared once in court with me for my DMPO, based on the paperwork I filed and completed and her only statement in court was “she wishes to drop the order”. Please take heed and do not retain her as an attorney unless you’ve completed and file your own paperwork and just want someone with the title of attorney to stand on with you and speak on your behalf.

When NCDOT decided to widen the road our fly shop was on, we were floored to hear our 3 year old business that was just starting to flourish was going to have to start over. Our first lawyer in a different practice gave us little hope and was difficult to work with. Kevin Mahoney gladly took our case and was very upfront about our dismal circumstances, but still willing to work with us. We were being dragged through a law suit. Kevin was able to extricate us from the suit, and help us settle with the state. Finally, it is over. Thanks to Kevin and to his paralegal, Ann Harper, for swiftly and concisely getting us to this point! We highly recommend this lawyer!

I would highly recommend NC Eminent Domain Law Firm. Jason and his team were with me every step of the way, explaining the process, and advising on next steps. They were truly a pleasure to work with. I cannot see anyone going through this without a great attorney that you can depend on and Jason and his team are just that!

When DOT approved major highway changes affecting my properties in Fayetteville NC, I made the decision to seek professional legal council to represent my interests. I considered several law firms specializing in eminent domain issues. I choose Jason Campbell of NC Eminent Domain Law Firm. Jason and his excellent staff have guided me through the process with top notch professionalism and satisfied results. I highly recommend Jason and his firm.

I was hesitant at first to confront the DOT in regards to my Eminent Domain case. The DOT appraisers are friendly and seem like they are neutral arbiters of the situation. When I received an offer that I thought was unfair, I turned to the NC Eminent Domain Law Firm and they assisted me in my case professionally and advised me through the entire process as to what my options were. The most important thing for me was to get real, timely information as to what was reasonable. The reality that these projects are necessary and good for the community does not mean that a few individuals should be to be burdened with more than their fair share of the cost due to the happenstance of owning a piece of property that is in the way. This law firm landed my case in a way that I believe was fair to both sides and now I have that peace of mind.

Mr. Campbell and his staff were very helpful and patient during our case with NC DOT. At each turn, Mr. Campbell researched and was knowledgeable of the law. His quiet, non-confrontational approach worked well for our family business during a difficult time. His paralegal Ms. Crowson was accessible and helpful with the process and her participation was valued as well.
