When I realized I was going to need an attorney to help me with my workman’s compensation claim I did what most people do, I called a few of the firms I had saw on television. I immediately had a bad feeling as they all wanted to “email” me a contract, I could sign it and they would handle my case. My question to each was “don’t you need details, don’t you want to meet with me?” They responded oh no, we can handle your case through phone calls and emails.” Well call me old fashioned but this did not make me feel good. I continued to research and found Copeley, Johnson, Groninger. I called and spoke with Jennifer Segnere and what a difference! The questions she ask were about me and my situation, then to my amazement and delight she requested that we meet in person so I could share what I had in reference to my case. There were several times Jennifer called me after hours to answer questions I had about my case. When Jennifer could not call Ashely Crouse who works there as well was quick to respond! When it came time to sit down and negotiate I felt so confident with her by my side. The case was settled and I was able to move forward with my life! I can honestly say this group is on your side and you’re not just another case to them you’re a person and they care!

The team was really supportive and their communication was prompt and thorough. They helped me understand my options and what my risks were. They also were really reasonable from a cost perspective. Also, I gave birth during my case and they were so thoughtful and patient and my attorney even came to my house to help get paperwork signed because they wanted to do what was easiest for me during that time.

Leto was fantastic and very helpful during a very difficult and sensitive time. She always kept me up to date with what was going on and went above and beyond. I can't say enough good things about Leto and her colleagues! Would definitely recommend to anyone in need of a wonderful, understanding lawyer.

Sent an email inquiry through their website earlier last week. No phone call or communication afterwards. I then decided to call and inquire about a consultation a few days later, as I live several hours away. The receptionist took down my information and basic facts about my case and told me that a paralegal would call me back to schedule a consultation. Fast forward to today. I call and ask if I could schedule a consultation and explain that I have yet to receive a call back about my previous inquiry. I was placed on hold, and then told that the office cannot take my case because “the attorneys don’t have time”. While I understand being a busy law firm, I wasn’t even given a consultation and I picked this specific office for a reason over all others. I’ve read some great reviews on here, and I am disappointed that I cannot add another great review for this law firm. I would have greatly appreciated my time not being wasted EDITED TO ADD: Valerie did call to speak to me today about my experience with her law firm, and my case. I do appreciate the phone call very much, although they still did not take my case. We were able to determine that the emails that were sent had been sent to an email address that was not mine. That is why I did not hear from her. SECOND EDIT: When I spoke to Valeria after my first review, she didn’t think I had a case at all. I wanted to update this review to express that I’ve won my first case against my previous employer, and I am working with the EEOC on a settlement. I intend to follow this all of the way through, but I would have likely sought a second opinion anyway after being told I didn’t have a case. Glad I did the research, remained vigilant, and didn’t get discouraged by this attorney and her dismissiveness.

Valerie Johnson was my workers comp atty in 1995. She fought for me for 12 years. She's not only the BEST atty. She is also one of the most compassionate and kindest person on this planet.

This year I experienced my first law suit. Working with Mrs. Johnson and her staff made the experience seamless. She and her staff returned my calls/ emails in a very timely fashion. Mrs. Johnson took the necessary time to explain things to me in a manner which I could understand and I always knew what would be the next steps. If you are looking for a law firm that treats their clients like you are their only client, look no further.
