Great to work with

Attorney Navi Sandhu was amazing in helping me with a legal issue. He was very knowledgeable, warm, supportive and helped to make the right decision. I am really grateful to him for all his guidance and very humane and wise approach.

In my professional and person life I have know many Attorneys, (Full disclosure, I am an Attorney myself admitted in GA many years ago as a young man) However, Attorney Sandhu is a real Attorney not some guy who somehow managed to pass a bar exam years ago like myself. I have know Nav his entire life, as he is several years my junior and our parents were the first Indian familes who migrated to NC fifty years ago to pursue professional careers in (medicine, my father) and (environmental engineering & sciences) his late father who was a founding father of the EPA in the southeast). Moreover Nav is my wife’s cousin & despite that fact we have remained the closest of life long friends. Please allow me to tell you why Nav is a great Attorney. (First ) He is not in it for the money. Prior to engaging in the practice of law on a full time basis he had a successful careeer as one of the triangles largest home builders in a company that remains controlled by his family. His undergraduate education was in engineering so he is able to think through problems and solutions in a very anilitical manner. (Second) He has even as a young child had a sence of social justice, he had a fundamental sence of what is right and wrong and he wanted to help the underdog. I distinctly rember him before his growth spurt as a painfully skinny little runt always standing up to bullies as a child, and he would get the brunt of the impact, this was way before thier was any PC in Eastern NC. The core beliefs in social justice cannot be taught in a Constitutional Law Class it has to be a fundamental part of who you are. Nav and his late father were all about social justice. (Third) As a criminal defendant many times even your own mother will not have anything to do with you but it is your defense attorneys job not to be judgemental Nav understands this because he grew up as an Indian kid in a rural eastern NC county where he was the only one, he understands what it is like to be the last chosen for a sports team even if you are the best or to be blamed for something you did not do because of who you are, or the difficulty of finding a girl brave enough to go to prom with the only Indian in the county, or not being called to join a fraternity in college even though you are an excellent student with one of the best cars at NC State. However despite all of this Nav has the most gentle soul and kindest heart and good will toward all and this is why and how he built a multi million dollar company and then walked away from it to go to law school for a career where he would probably make one tenth of his salary. God forbid if I or my children “ ever needed an Attorney” it would be Nav Sandhu
