I live out of state and received a speeding ticket while working in the area for about 3 weeks after Hurricane Dorian. After doing some research online and contacting one other attorney's office, I decided to use Dixon & Thompson Law, PLLC. Based on one review I read I also decided to pay in full upfront - without any issue. I dealt solely with Gray Dixon, administrative assistant for the firm. She handled everything professionally. The attorney was able to resolve my issue without my needing to appear in court or to meet or call him which enabled me to keep working and to go home after my work ended. I am extremely satisfied with the service I received and the documentation provided for the fee I paid. I highly recommend Dixon & Thompson Law, PLLC.

BLUF: Hire Dixon and Thompson if you get a speeding ticket and you are out of state. I don't leave many reviews, but I feel compelled to give Dixon and Thompson one. I got a speeding ticket in Tyrell County NC, but I live in Boston, MA. The district court was mandating that I show up to my court date and pay the fine, and that may or may not have wound up effecting my insurance rate. After doing some research I gave Dixon and Thompson a call. They explained everything thoroughly, and walked me through every step of the process. They kept me updated, and were definitely pros at dealing with the court system. The fine was paid and did not effect my insurance, I did not need to fly down there, and I thought their rate was very reasonable.

I was very impressed with this company as they were consistently able to clearly communicate back and forth between all parties. Not to mention my case was eventually dismissed! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a legal work.

Mr Dixon and his staff are beyond outstanding. I hate that I had to use them but Praise the Lord, they got me through it and even afterwards.

I was involved in an accident and was told the charges would be dropped if I got a letter from my insurance co saying they would pay for damages. The letter was delayed for months because the lady who hit me filed with her insurance instead of mine. After months of continuances the charges were dropped and I never had to appear in court or pay any more than my initial fee. DIXON & THOMPSON handled it all.

I recieved a ticket for an accident I was involved in while on vacation in the OBX. I live in the DC area and a not local. I was within a week to the deadline to mail in the payment for the fine when i decided to call one of the attorney's which I recieved a snail mail solicitation. I'm saying all this because I should have made the call to this firm much earlier and not fester in my frustration over the incident. Mr. Dixon said he could most likely get the violation dismissed. I emailed the paralegal the information she needed and paid the fee over the phone (which was just less than half the combined fine and court cost of the violation). I figured for this cost a chance to throw out the ticket was worth it since i believe i was not the sole cause of the accident. As a heads up this process took a few calls as i had to wait for a call back to talk with Mr Dixon about details of the accident. Once done, i waited for them to follow up with me. I provided additional information just once while the case was in continuance. I recieved the email today that the case was dismissed. This is a lengthy post because being from out of town I had no clue who I could depend on to handle the case. Therefore I am sharing my experience so you can make your decision. I paid a flat fee and stayed in touch with the paralegals and Mr Dixon for a couple of updates. Today, with no additional fees, i received the email the case is closed. I recommend this firm for traffic violations.
