Five stars are not enough for this firm. For personal and business matters, Sam Dixon and his team are efficient, thoughtful and always on point. We moved our business over two years ago, and have been very pleased. Recently, I move personal over, too. Our entire team is always well cared for and matters are resolved quickly and efficiently. A great person, smart strategist and always results oriented, Sam never disappoints.

FIVE stars is not HIGH enough to rate our experience!! My son received a speeding ticket while driving through Ahoskie. He was cited for going 87 in a 55 mph zone. He has been out at sea and I had to find the Attorney that would handle the citation. Thank GOD, I contacted Mr. Dixon & it was the BEST decision. My son's case was settled to a improper equipment which didn't impact his license or insurance.

A few weeks ago I received a speeding ticket on my way to the Outer Banks. I was charged going 69 in a 55 mph zone on highway 64 in Tyrrell County which is more than 3 hours from my home. After much contemplation and discussion with my husband (who believed it was easier to just pay it) I decided to do some research online and learn how others have handled similar situations. I discovered that it was most likely going to cost me more than just the fee for the citation and court costs which were approximately $200. I would not only have points put on my driver's license, but more importantly if my insurance company found out I was ticketed they would probably raise my car insurance rates approximately $500/year for 3 years. Many people have little to no faith in attorneys, but most have even less faith in insurance companies and I didn't want to have to pay them even more than they already charge me. So I went back online to find an attorney who might take my case. The first lawyer I came across was Dixon and Thompson. From their website it appeared that they were professional, knowledgeable and from the many positive reviews successful. I did look at a few other attorney websites, but I kept going back to Dixon and Thompson. Most likely because their site is easy to navigate and answered most of my initial questions at the start. I called their office and explained my circumstances. For the very first time since I had received the ticket I felt like I could relax. Even after reading online how attorneys can get certain charges reduced with no points on your license and no increase to your insurance fees I was still apprehensive and didn't think that much favor could come my way. But Gray, the admin. asst.(and Mr. Dixon's wife) was so reassuring and confident that they could get the charge reduced it made me think there was hope. They explained everything up front. How the attorney meets with the DA to ask for a reduction to what documents they need and so forth. Gray was extremely thorough and answered all my questions. She was also very patient and kind. That meant a lot to me considering my husband was just admitted to the hospital and I was dealing with other pressures. If you are still wondering if it's worth it to hire an attorney to represent you- stop! Call Dixon and Thompson. They were worth every penny which was probably the most pleasant surprise. I thought it would cost me much more than it did. $450 total which includes the citation fee and court costs is extremely nominal considering what you save just in avoiding the 3 years of insurance increases. I wish I'd never gotten the ticket. But reality is that I broke the law and had to pay the price. If you are currently still on the fence about paying the ticket or hiring an attorney you have nothing to lose and a lot to gain by calling Dixon and Thompson. Oh, and if nothing else convinces you to call them, I found out yesterday that my citation was reduced to a charge comparable to a parking ticket with no points on my license and no insurance increases. Yeah! Thank you, Dixon and Thompson. And thank you, Gray for making a very unpleasant and anxious experience so much less stressful. I'm truly grateful for your services.
