It kind of confuses me when I read bad reviews about this lawyer like he was reading paperwork in a car, etc. etc. I think people need to realize that sometimes disorganization can occur when someone is first starting up a new business. He is not like this today. He works with a team of professionals and they all accomplish a lot. If you have ever observed ants building a hill, bees in a hive, or wasps on a mission you will know what I am talking about. His team is very productive. He is a good leader and a great communicator. As far as his prices "being too high," well that is what happens sometimes when starting a new business. Over time I'm sure his prices will have gone down and will go down more but until then he's like every other human being just trying to make ends meet. Lawyers are human beings too. We had a few of our ups and downs but honestly I was grateful to have hired a lawyer who tells the truth. I never got mad at him for telling me the truth. I only got mad when he assumed I didn't know the truth. Kind of like that phrase "Hey tell me something I don't know." I know I need help. Lots of people do. However, there are better ways to express your dissatisfaction with something than telling me something I already know and sending that email of your confrontation to everyone in the office. Maybe some of his staff can help him with learning how to word things better to clients. I feel like his staff have helped make him into the success he is today. Great work ethic combined with team work and excellent communication among him and his staff provide for a speedy job and you get your money's worth. He just needs to research better ways of communicating with clients and when something bothers him he needs to voice his discontent immediately versus holding it all in and letting it build up over time. When you hold things in and then explode it does not look good on you. It makes it look like you can't handle yourself. If you can't handle yourself because of emails how will you handle uncomfortable emotions in court? That's all I'm saying. I hope his team goes to court with him because, like everyone else, he needs help.

Bryce helped me navigate a very complicated and potentially dangerous situation. He carefully listened to all of the facts. Helped me to remove my emotion from it so I didn't do anything stupid, and assisted me in finding the best solution for myself and family. Bryce went above and beyond to research my case and get me answers, without which I would have unknowingly made bad decisions that would have made the problem worse. If you want an extremely knowledgeable and dedicated attorney Bryce is your guy.

Hired Bryce to handle a child support termination. He did an amazing job of communicating directly with me via email (only talked to his staff to pay the bill). This is very rare! Most attorney’s barely talk to you and 90% of your communication goes through a paralegal. In addition to be a great communicator, he did a great job of preparing and arguing the case which resulted in a victory. I’d hire him again; no question.

Bryce gave me some solid advice for divorce, and he thoroughly explained the process, steps and what to expect. He was also in the military, so it was nice. He was earnest, willing to help and will press hard for his clients. He practices solid business and his staff was fantastic.

I spoke with Mr Neier about the potential impact of a family situation in a real estate transaction involving my clients. He was able to line out the salient points and point us in the right direction. We’ll definitely retain him at the appropriate time, if needed. Definitely recommended and I’ve too much experience with the legal profession to put up with an average lawyer. Liked his style.

Lee represented me for a family case that spanned multiple years and he remained professional and understanding the entire time. Not being dramatic, he knows his case law and even broke out a law book to show word for word what it says when doubted during a hearing. I even had someone in court ask me for his contact information when they saw how professional and intelligent he handled himself. Lee is honest and will tell you the best advice, even when you might not want to hear it and when you let him know you are uncomfortable with something, he honors your wishes as well. Lee always follows up and if he is unavailable his paralegal does right away. When all was said and done, I feel I received great representation.

Attorney Kevin Vidunas was wonderful! He clearly explained how he would tackle my issue, had me check over each document before sending or filing it, and got the outcome I was wanting but could not get from negotiating with the corporation myself! Mr. Vidunas is quite knowledgeable and knows how to strategize for a speedy outcome while managing the expectations of his client.

On November 30th, 2016, I was rear-ended by another vehicle, and that resulted in injuries to my back and neck. I contacted Attorney Vidunas and asked him to represent me in this case, and that was the best decision I ever made! I met with him to discuss this matter, and I was delighted with his professionalism and genuine interest! Mr. Vidunas is very knowledgeable in civil cases, he is very polite, understanding, and explained in details how we would proceed. While I was going through medical treatment, he demonstrated a genuine interest in my well-being by regularly calling me. After the treatment was completed and it was time to contact the insurance, he successfully negotiated the best settlement for me! Mr.Vidunas is very meticulous in what he does, and I like to thank him for his outstanding service! I would definitely recommend him for any and all civil cases! Thank you so much!!!

I’ve worked with attorney Sternlicht since 2015, and he has made my accident ordeal easier. I did not have to worry about treatments, because I was told how to deal with the accident process, I felt confident, that everything was going to be taken care of. His paralegal Mary, also helped with last minute questions. Thank You both for helping me, and I would recommend Attorney Sternlicht to anyone looking for an accident attorney.

Mr. Sternlicht and legal assistant, Connie Smith, were amazing at representing me in a bodily injury settlement from auto accident. They alleviated the stress of collection calls and letters from medical agencies by contacting them individually. They periodically kept me up to date on the process and made sure I clearly understood the process. They were prompt in returning my calls and answering any questions I had. I was completely satisfied with their professionalism and the outcome I would highly recommend Beaver|Courie Attorneys At Law!

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Fayetteville, North Carolina?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
