She helped set up a special needs trust for us several years ago, after that was completely unhelpful on some follow up matters. Did not return calls, and basically blew us off.

She requires 50% down payment at first consultation. After preparing the first draft for simple estate planning, I asked if she had confused me with a different client. It was totally different from our discussion. Everything went down hill from there. Weeks went by, before I finally fired her. I hired a new attorney who did magnificent work in less than 10 days. She refused to return my initial deposit.

Janna Wallace helped my sister and I apply for Medicaid for our elderly mother. She has a lot expertise in this area and was highly recommended to us by Navigate NC. It became evident from our first meeting that we would be in good hands. She walked us through the Medicaid application process and clearly outlined what she would need from us. It was a great partnership from the beginning. She made a stressful process more bearable. Janna always responded to my questions in a timely manner and gave sound advice. She was also very patient and supportive throughout the entire process. My sister and I would highly recommend her if you are seeking a professional and experienced lawyer for Medicaid applications and other elder law issues.

After i first contacted Janna I was told I had reason for concern. Later as the case unfolded i expressed to her that did not feel i could win this case because my parent was competent. She encouraged me to go forward with the case anyway. After months of me sending her information scanning these items through emails and told her of my brothers past criminal records. I arrived at her office the day before the court date with the items i had sent her over the preceding months. At that time she made copies of these items as though she had never seen them before. She told me that at the hearing i would be able to speak more freely unlike standard court. Upon arriving at the court house Janna said she could find no prior records, i know that they exist. Janna asked my mother who she would prefer to use should something happen to her son. My mom's response was her two granddaughters. I tried to prompt Janna to inquire about the girls. Had she done so i feel sure that it would have raised concern about my mother's judgement. One niece being 18 years of age and the other 21 years amongst other concerns. I do not feel that Janna hardly lifted a finger for the money I paid her.

Janna shows great pride and professionalism with her clients. Her experience allows her to assist all different needs. I highly recommend you take the time to at least speak with Janna pertaining your estate needs.

I was appointed guardian of an elderly demented lady. She was placed in a caregiving facility and left a cluttered home, additional property, and autos to be dealt with. After many months of working through possessions, trash, files, etc. I realized I needed help. A friend highly recommended Janna Wallace as she had helped him with an elderly family member. I called Ms. Wallace and she has helped me organize the estate and set it on a course to assure the proper outcome for the future. She provided legal assistance with the Clerk of the Court pertaining to annual reporting and real estate. She was knowledgeable in all areas of handling the estate and directed me when needed to other persons for advise. I now have peace of mind and always know help is just a phone call away. After our initial discussion a plan was set in motion knowing what needed to be done step-by-step until our goal was accomplished. This included liquidating all properties. I found her fee to be very reasonable and would recommend Janna to anyone needing help with elderly care.

Janna was recommended to me by another female attorney who described Janna as "aggressive." She is NOT aggressive in my opinion, and is NOT a "litigator." Janna ONLY CARES ABOUT MONEY, MONEY, MONEY! I hired her as my 2nd attorney in an estate matter, and I so wish I had not hired her. I found Janna to be very rude, cold, immature, unprofessional, and uncaring. Janna knows absolutely NOTHING about estate matters. She abruptly walked out on me in the middle of a hearing. TRUE! MONEY AND GETTING PAID IS HER TOP PRIORITY. Do your research folks and be careful who you hire. A lot of lawyers will recommend another attorney as "excellent" when they're really not. Apparently, it's the 'ol "you scratch my back, and I'll scratch yours" mentality. That is very bad for a potential client. My intention in posting this review is in the hopes of helping others. Legal matters are stressful enough, but having the wrong attorney just adds to a client's stress and frustration. Sadly, all factual.
