THANK YOU to Damon Duncan and his staff for walking me through this transition in my life. This was very scary for me and it took me a long while to make that first contact. But I am surely glad that I did. They were thorough in their information presented to me, answered all questions that I had, explained things very carefully and in layman's terms that I could understand, reassured me when I got anxious and was just there every step of the way! Socially there is a stigma that is attached to doing something like this but you have to make the best decision for YOU!! No one knows your story or how your situation developed to its current state. Really it doesn't even matter what others think. Again, YOU make the best decision for YOU. Duncan Law was very careful with my feelings during the whole process but you must trust the process. How many bankruptcy attorneys do you know who would recommend AGAINST filing for bankruptcy, if it's not in your best interests? Because that's exactly what Damon Duncan did. He laid out all of my options, explained them in detail in a way I had no trouble understanding, then he went through and clearly explained why he would or would not recommend each one. Ultimately, his recommendation was a course of action that didn't involve bankruptcy, and therefore made him no money. But he recommended what he thought would be best for me anyway. In addition to all that, his demeanor was more than I ever could have hoped for. I have some pretty significant social anxiety issues, especially in situations like meeting with a lawyer, but not once did it even cross my mind to feel judged, or like a failure (both of which are feelings that come far too easily for me). He was laid-back, personable, and so very kind. I am immensely grateful to him for that, and if I ever end up having to file for bankruptcy in the future, I already know exactly where I'll go!! :)
