First time doing a closing with Atlas Orange. Represented the seller. I like the remote closing option but it has some unorthodox practices. For one, to do a closing with no extra fees, you have to go to their office, 1.5 hours from Charlotte. Another is that you cannot do a closing with the buyers at the same onsite location. Which doesn't make sense with the hundreds of closings we have done. You have to schedule, through them, your own notary, for an additional cost or print and sign your own paperwork and overnight back for $35. This lends itself to possible issues if everything isn't signed correctly and possible closing delay. Had issues with the notary not confirming appointment until the last minute. They also do not supply a buyer signed HUD, which if very abnormal. In the end, I don't see us suggesting them to our clients.

Atlas orange did a closing for us recently, and they were very professional. They dotted all the eyes and crossed all the t's. It's The kind of precision that you would expect for a closing, but added with a very pleasant staff.
