Mr. Davidson starts off a conversation with, “Have you been Vaccinated?” (I had a mask on the whole time in the waiting room. He was over 40 mins late. He nor anyone in his office did.) Whether you do or don’t have the right to ask. That’s absolutely none of his business. Then proceeded to tell me he’s brother is a Pulmonologist and you only have 60 days of immunity naturally!! Excuse me??? Am I bad because I didn’t get the shot? Do I need to explain I had just got over Covid a month ago? Not able to get it right now? (Advice of my Doctor) No he wasn’t even listening. I felt automatically that I was the Enemy because I said NO to being Vaccinated. Why should I have to defend myself to a Guy I just met and explain my health too??? How could I possibly trust this Man? Let alone sit and talk about why I am going to pay you $150 to give me advice? Clearly I have made a mistake and walked into the lion’s den. What would you do in a Lion’s den? Stay? Try to talk to them? Thank you for the opportunity to meet with you, but I’ll pass. Going to find someone that will actually listen. Have a Great Day!!!

I would highly recommend Mr.Davidson! He helped me with a complicated child custody case (which we won). He was caring, kind, hard working, responsive, and determined with my case. He answers the phone or returns phone calls promptly. He genuinely seems to care about the children involved in the case and not only In it for the paycheck. He is upfront, honest, and he didn’t charge me for what he would have been justified charging me. I would highly recommend Mr. Davidson and Ms. Olszyk! Great people!

Richard helped from the very beginning of my seperation papers being drawn up to the divorce being finalized. There were moments where this was a challenge due to other person and their lawyer in my case. However, Richard never backed down and continued to stand for what was fair and equal. Richard was very polite, extremely understanding, as well as patient through our six month time on this case.

Mr. Williams assisted me with my personal injury case. Throughout the process, he always listened to my concerns, was extremely prompt in communicating information to me, and kept me informed every single step of the way. Not only am I very thrilled with the outcome of my case, but I am also very appreciative of how Mr. Williams treated me as a client. I would definitely recommend him!

My issue was a traffic violation I could have really taken a hit for, One phone call to this firm solved my problem. In less than 5 min, I had and finished the necessary paperwork (which they sent to do online), paid fees (over the phone), and that was it. Problem solved. They took care of everything. I didn't have to miss work, make phone calls, etc. Results were as as promised and in my favor. Surprisingly easy and very effective. Though I hope not to need legal help again, if I do, this is my go to for sure.

Chad & Jessica mean the world to me. I could not have gotten through this trial without them. Their dedication to me, my daughter & my case went beyond the courtroom. Their level of professionalism and ethics is something I wish I could see in more lawyers & paralegals. They not only represented me, but continued to give me help and advice after everything was said and done. I've never felt as if I was bothering them, and they've always made incredible effort to answer my millions of emails. If you want a lawyer who will be forever in your corner, please consider hiring Chad.

Chad and his legal assistant Jessica have represented me and helped me through several cases regarding my divorce, the custody of my child, and other family-related legal matters where I needed legal representation. I will not step into a court room with him at my side. He is straight forward, honest, and has the legal knowledge to provide you with a realistic outlook on what you can expect your results to be. If he's not familiar with a certain legal discipline or area, he will refer you to other top attorneys in the area that can help you. I highly recommend Chad for all family-related legal matters. His help has been invaluable to me. They are worth every penny and then some.

  4. What is your approach to resolving cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.
  5. What potential outcomes can I expect?
While no lawyer can guarantee results, they can provide an assessment of possible scenarios based on their experience.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Lillington, North Carolina?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
